Nice, big room. Bed was very comfortable. Big bathroom, nice big tub. Shower head, not so great. Slow toilet flush. Very comfortable bed, and fluffy towels. Sofa bed in the room. Property was older, but there were upkeeps in patching plaster, etc. Completing very nice remodel in lobby, with a fireplace. No breakfast due to Covid, but breakfast area was very nice and clean. Coffee and juice was available. Check out female employee was very pleasant. Younger, check in male employee, just kinda there.
We stayed there for 1 night for 6 hours in a non smoking room. Found out 4 days later that they charged me for smoking in the room and neither of us smoke. Then when I went to call they were no help at all. The beds were like rocks, the shower must have ben for someone under 5 foot tall as they hit your head if you're not careful. The water takes about 10 minutes to get hot. The bathroom has wallpaper pealing and the tv only had 6 channels that worked. Definitely DO NOT recommend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We went during this pandemic time , after getting keys from reception ( who was not wearing masks) as we entered inton room ,look what we found :used bed, used towels on the floor, dirty washroom and with a note 📝 this room is cleaned!!! We were dead tired and seeing this was most unlikely experience to us. After speaking to staff she came and said either she can correct this one or we can get other one room which was only left in whole hotel. We opted for other room on second floor with no elevators.
Front desk staff was very friendly and highly competent. Room was spotless and thoroughly sanitized. I was in the newer building with interior corridors. Room was large and included a microwave and fridge, both of which worked fine. A/C worked well. TV had sufficient choices for video. It's a Quality Inn so don't expect amazing furnishings. There was a minor spot of unfixable damage to one of the furnishings but everything worked fine. Bed was good and firm (not too firm). I would have preferred if the outer doors locked, but it's pretty quiet in that area of the property and far from other nearby businesses. The room itself had an extra deadbolt for extra security, something I appreciated. The hotel was full but I didn't hear any neighbors. There was plenty of parking. Exterior lighting was sufficient. No elevators. Ferris State wasn't my destination, but the hotel is very close to the University. Hotel had one of the annoying safe fees, but the clerk was happy to remove it and was able to remove it in less than 60 seconds. I would definitely stay there again if in Big Rapids.…
Our visit was awesome!!! The owners were nice and the rooms were always clean. The WIFI was great. The hotel offered a pool and it was a great stay. The hotel offered a great rate. Everthing was santized and cleaned.
