We stayed here as it was closed to the Tigers' ballpark. It was very loud because of the road; and even louder because of the party in the room downstairs (neither of which is the hotel's fault). Room was very basic, the hi speed WiFi was slow and only available outside our room door and the free breakfast coffee was cold. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Friendly staff, the usual continental breakfast fare (cereal, breads, hard-boiled eggs), and great central location for exploring downtown Detroit. Our room was nicer than the outside of the motel looked, with a little fridge and microwave. My only complaint (& not much of a complaint) is that the room was a bit stuffy - we were told that the A/C didn't get turned on until June. But overall, a good stay, and with free parking! Good value for the price.

• The owners are growing their brand and currently renovating this property.
• The owner seems to genuinely care about the property, the guests and the quality of service.
• Overall the front desk staff is professional and cordial; but, there is on bad apple in the bunch - - a guy who is imperious and overbearing and who acts as if the guests are somehow beneath him. If you ever get flagged as a "bad guest," it was done by this guy; check your credit card bill for a "ghost charge" (i.e. one you did not make or authorize).
• Given time, this property may be a quality go-to boutique hotel. Hopefully, without any "bad apples".

My daughter & I went to Ford Field to see Ed Sheeran. We wanted to stay the night & found that places around there were very expensive. Came across this place & reading some of the reviews we were a little apprehensive. Decided to give it a try & so glad that we did. Place was clean, affordable price & the staff & service was excellent. Walking distance to Ford Field & Comerica Park. Will definitely go back again. I’m from Canada so it’s a great place to stay if we want to spend a weekend in the States.

This was just crazy when I checked in the room was good but the tv was no good meaning could not get any channels on the tv made report to front desk and still nothing at all so the second day I called from work saying that my was having issues and the clerk said it would be taken care of. And nothing changed so I went and complain the lady came up and check and it wasn’t working so I had to come down to get a new room which the keys didn’t work at all so she supposedly called the manger had me back in the same room that night. Told me that I would be taken care of in the morning when I go to check out nothing happens saying the manger don’t come in until 10 the night clerk told me at 9 so when I called back this morning at 10 they say that manger would call me and the time is 430 and no one called Never will I stay here again customer service is horrible for the amount of money to stay a night it should be better at 100 a night this is crazy it’s loud at night fighting never again will this place get my money

We chose this hotel after car trouble while visiting Detroit and couldn't believe our luck at how wonderful and accommodating the manager Andy and his staff would be. The rooms are well equipped and clean. The restaurant was very handy as we were without a car at a time when lots of things are closing. The hotel provided a shuttle service for us to go purchase new tires at a nearby shop and was very gracious with a late checkout time as we had tons of luggages. We can't thank you enough.

I and my husband are from Georgia and we came to visit family in Detroit. We thought, "Lets stay downtown to be near the water"! The rooms total was $142.75, ok nice room we thought, for that price it should be fine. We didn't check the room out first because it was getting late and we wanted to get something to eat first being that restaurant are still closing early due to covid. Get back to the room the and first there is a weird man sitting on the stairs rocking and talking to himself.(SIGN) So we get to the room and open the door and to our surprise this room is "HORRIBLE"!!!!!! Super small, mattress seemingly very old because when my husband sat on it it made a long creeking noise. The so-called bathtub was big enough to fit my 5 year old grandson with his feet in front of him touching the other side. ALL of the dressers were worn down to another color, the carpet was filthy, the t.v. super small and I had to ask where the remote was by calling front desk to be told," O you can come and get it"!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!!

This is the most DISGUSTING place I have ever stayed in. I would have rather slept outside. The beds sink in, in the middle. There's 2 inches of dust on everything & I mean everything. The toilets don't flush. When we arrived we were informed there was no hot water & that they wouldn't be charging us the $100 deposit that we didn't even know about. The shower had pubes in it. The freezer had a one inch layer of dirty ice in it with random dirt and hairs. It smelled like cigarettes, dog and pee. The floor felt sticky. I went in cleaned the toilet and sink area before we even got settled. I could say more, but I'll just post a few pics.

Diana in the lobby was very kind and helpful and working hard to keep the space clean. Shuttle vans also were amazing and the drivers were responsive and willing to go out of their way. Hotel has a nice little diner attached as well that we are at each morning

We came to the rivertown inn and suites while we were visiting Detroit. Fatima was great and super helpful. Fatima hooked us up with a better room, unlocked our door when we got locked out multiple times, and gave us some coffee. She went above and beyond to help us feel comfortable. Thank you Fatima!

I don't think they offer shuttle service, but you can probably take the People Mover, or possibly even walk.
