The presentation of this hotel on their website is utterly misleading. Service is poor. The room is worn. Wall outlets are exposed. Bathroom fixture handles fall off. This hotel could be highly successful, but the owners have failed to invest in the basics that are...More
I made a reservation to stay at Roberts Riverwalk for Sunday, July 1, 2018. When we arrived, we waited for one hour in a lobby with no air conditioning though it was 95 F that day. After an hour we finally got our room and...More
PSA Roberts Riverwalk Hotel is the nastiest place I ever seen. I checked into my hotel, walked in my room and it was literally 90 degrees. Went to the thermostat .... it didn’t work. Look at the bed and it has bugs everywhere from the...More

I was scheduled to say from June 20 to 24 but upon arrival that reservation was quickly changed to one day, June 20-21. Unfortunately I paid through hotels.com and they received the money for the entire stay back in April. The manager, Sandy Bishop assured...More

I booked this room from a travel website after doing some extensive research which included reading others' reviews. In Detroit for a concert at Ford Field for one night this hotel was the perfect place for us. It is within walking distance of Ford Field, 2.2 miles and it includes FREE parking which saved us $30 and the hassle of driving around with all of the traffic in town for the concert plus the ball game at Comerica which is right across the street. We had a river view in a large, high ceiling room. The Roberts Riverwalk was built in 1902 so yes it definitely has some unique characteristics about it but to me these are the hotels I prefer to stay at. Fun fact: it's also was considered at National Historic Landmark in 1976 and only became a hotel in 2011. Yes it is on the river so it is in the warehouse district and yes the parking lot has signs stating to park at your own risk but who doesn't. We parked our brand new truck, tinted windows and rims and all, in the parking lot and walked both to and from the concert. People's reviews to take into consideration that this is DETROIT, maybe if they drove around they'd realize how lucky they were to being staying in this beautiful hotel on River Place Drive and not some sketchy place on Pelky Street. One last thing to address, all of the staff that we encountered was very helpful and friendly to us!
