Last minute change of plans allowed us an extra day in Michigan and we wanted to go to Saugatuck for just one night. AmericInn was a great price and a very comfortable place to stay and just a few miles away from the shopping and dining in Saugatuck. Our room was clean and comfortable. The pool area looked very nice but we did not have time to enjoy the pool. The staff was very professional and able to answer all our questions and meet our needs.
Not covid safe. Carpet was dirty in the lobby, walking space, and in the room. Room door was opened on hinge upon arrival. Dirty mask was left on the floor and a towel in the open fridge that was off.
We booked late so this was the only available place. We know why! There is no service at all. If you need something, they would get it for you but you will need to ring the bell at the front desk. They do not clean rooms right now for people staying over. Not sure if it’s because of Covid or not but the price did not reflect this. We paid $250 a night. The room was dirty. There was tooth paste in the sink, dirt and hair in the corners of the bathroom mirror. The door handles are filthy. You can touch all that but don’t enter without a mask! The door on our room had to be slammed to close correctly and when opening you had to push all your weight to open it. We have stayed at AmericaInn’s in the past and they were really nice. Not this one. It looks nothing like the pictures on the web site. Don’t be fooled!…
My wife and I wanted to spend a long weekend indoors in a snowy Michigan town away from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. The facilities were clean, the staff was super friendly and accommodating, and the outside view of the snow was simply gorgeous!
There's nothing too fancy here - except maybe the waffle iron with the AmericInn logo! - but that's fine, because what more do you need besides clean rooms, efficient staff, and nice people! I didn't partake but the pool area looked super nice.
