Located in the Douglas/Saugatuck area. The resort has cabins, hotel, and poolside rooms. Friendly staff and large bar area, deck with various levels and patio. Large pool with deck area, bar and food as well. All buildings are surrounded by woods and beautiful landscaping. The Blue Frog 🐸 restaurant is located on the premises

We found the Dunes resort by chance while looking for an affordable place to stay for one night. We had great time at the bar in the evening. The room was nice and comfortable. It has a nice small kitchen area. The surroundings give the impression that you are camping. The only thing missing was a hair dryer. We enjoyed...

The Dunes is a fun place to stay in Douglas that, of course, caters to the LGBT crowd. We typically go there every summer. Missed last year, but made it this year, and definitely enjoyed it. You can spend the day by the pool, go out to get something to eat, and then spend the evening there at the lounge...

First some good things: The cabins make you feel like you are camping in the woods with beautiful lush greenery around you. There is a nice pool on the property and plenty of entertainment. There was a refrigerator in the room. We also had a fun time. Now onto the areas that should be given some attention, especially given the...

What an enchanting place. The staff is friendly and very welcoming. Everything was spotless clean with top notch service. Very responsible rates that will have us coming back on a regular basis. We spent one night and left feeling like family.

Was there with friends, there is a part of the resort that is totally outdated and need renovations. There was one room they rented out that the bathroom was not ready, totally under constructions. The guest had a discount but had to shower outside.

It's true that this place is more oriented toward the LGBT crowd, but I am sure they would not turn away anyone else during the weekdays. Weekends are almost always booked in advance. Rooms are very nice and clean; hard-working and friendly cleaning staff! Leave them a good tip and you will get great service! Nice pool area and a...

Located in Douglas just 5 minutes from downtown Saugatuck, The DUNES is a fantastic getaway with a couple Motel-styled buildings, some small Cottages, a pool and an indoor/outdoor night club to boot. We travelled the 13 hours from our own "Gay Friendly Beach resort town" of Asbury Park to check out what our great-lakes brothers and sisters could call the...
