We had a wonderful weekend in Empire! This motel was very clean, comfortable, the owners was very nice and gave wonderful recommendations. We were convenient to our destinations where we were visiting
Very nice hotel experience overall. Close proximity to trails, restaurants and very clean. I would recommend Empire Lakeshore Inn. We hope to return to the area over the summer and will definitely consider this hotel for our lodging needs.
Great location, right in the middle of town, which is in the middle of the park. We were only there one night, and never met the owners-- our key was waiting in a drop box, and we put the key back in the same box in the morning. Place was nice and clean and seemed to have been recently remodeled. Our only minor feedback was the room didn't seem well insulated-- the heater had to come on every few minutes all night long so it didn't seem to be holding well. May not be a problem in the summer, but strange for a new place.
Empire Lakeshore Inn is perfect for a weekend trip to Sleeping Bear. The location is 5-20 minutes from hiking, and it’s a 15 minute walk to Empire Beach, where you can stargaze. The hotel room itself is updated/modern and very clean. The room was great for our dog as well. Check in is contactless, but we saw the owner a couple of times, who is nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay here next time we’re in the area.
Room: We stayed in a king size room for two nights. All of the professional pictures of the room from TripAdvisor are very accurate/not exaggerated. Really, really clean. Great bed and plushy pillows. Keurig, full-size microwave, and medium-sized fridge in the room. Rain shower head with the perfect amount of water pressure. Flat screen TV with Spectrum cable. Service: Family-owned, very nice owners. Came and gave us new towels every day. We mixed up our check-out time and they gave us an extra hour. We're caffeine addicts and they refilled our Keurig coffee pods/cream/sugar every day. Location: 12 minute drive to Dunes Climb trailhead. 5 minute drive to Empire Bluff trailhead, 30 minutes to Traverse City. Cute sandwich/soft serve shop (great for breakfast!), pizza place, chocolate shop, gas station all within walking distance.…
