I solo camped at Empire Twp Campgrounds in early September. Paramount was finding a campground near Sleeping Bear Dunes that accepts reservations - it's no fun spending the beginning of vacation searching for a backup site due to sellouts. Not only do they accept reservations, but they were very helpful recommending the perfect campsite. I opted for a wooded, rustic...

Empire Township Campground is a beautiful, well-kept campground! Normally we camp at Platte River. Came across Empire Township Campground and thought we would give it a try. We were pleasantly surprise by our spacious site in the Hardwood campground area. The sites are relatively private and comfortably spaced-not on top of one another. Showers are hot and if you need...

We stayed at site 50 in the hardwoods section of the campground. Plenty of space for all of our gear including our car and our tent as well as the picnic table that was provided. We used the outhouse at first but then avoided it for the rest of our stay after another camper mentioned she saw a black widow...

Was panicked when all NP campsites were full and we booked a site here -- Yolanda was very friendly and put me at ease when I booked our stay. Loved our site and the peacefulness of the campground. Highly recommended for that true rustic feeling and the privacy of each site.

This campground surprised me. It's tent sites are quite nice and large. Private and spacious isn't what I expect for $20! Yep just $20. Showers for $0.50 per three minutes and flush toilets. Cash and credit accepted except that when I was here their phones were down due to recent storms so they couldn't take credit.

My fiance and I stayed in the hardwoods section (in one of the secluded sites) and absolutely loved it! We spent 5 days and 4 nights there to tent camp in mid July 2015. Our site was secluded with lots of trees around our site, so many so that we could hardly see our neighbors; it was just a short...

Our stay here was excellent! We had a large group and utilized their group site "a". It was very large and had plenty of room for multiple sleeping tents, as well as a screen tent for eating. The pit toilets and water were a short walk away. The campground had many trees, and the sites were spread out- so we...

We absolutely loved our campsite. It was perfectly secluded and we couldn't see any of our neighbors. Perfect spots for hammocks and shade from the morning sun made our campsite ideal. The lady running the campground was very friendly and welcoming. The showers were metered but provided plenty of time for a shower for $1.50. While we weren't fans of...

I loved this campsite so much! It was my first camping experience and the first of many! Yolanda the Greek lady was super nice. We stayed at campsite 10 and it was so private! There was only a bench and a firepit but I loved it so much. We basically drove out to the flush toilet whenever we needed to...

This was our first time at this campground. We stayed during the week, and one of those nights we had no one in our section, so we basically had our own private campground! Pit toilets were decent, as they actually had toilet paper provided and hand sanitizer! One flush toilet up front was handy, too. We stayed in the Hardwoods...
