This is a small, but quaint, quiet and clean motel. We stayed only one night and had no problems. The bathroom and shower is very small, but adequate. The bed is very firm, which for myself is not very sufficient, but for one night I can handle it.

Thanks for your business and for sharing your thoughts with us. We are glad you found our place to be quiet and clean, so sorry you found our new bedding to be a bit too firm. Hope to see you again the next time you’re in our neck of the woods.

The entire walkway smelled really very strongly of cigarette smoke. The room was super clean, which was a plus, but the ac made the back wall vibrate super loudly! We were happy we brought a fan, which we put in the back window, and the thunderstorm was a nice addition. I'm happy

We’re never satisfied with a 3 bubble rating, but glad you found your room “super clean” because that’s our highest priority. You said the room was “cheap”,we prefer to think of them as “affordable”, although you can pay more than $100 per night to stay in town. We have been a nonsmoking property for many years and customers do smoke outside, so sorry you found that bothersome. We will check that air conditioner and replace if necessary. Safe travels.

We stayed there for the night on way up to Michigan UP.
Hunting theme room was tiny with all wood furniture and many fixtures. It's a stretch to call it even a motel, it's really a 100-120-feet wooden cabin split into few (6-8?) 'room's. To be fair, it was kept decent. Bed , chai

My wife and I stayed for four nights and it was very comfortable. Bob was very easy to work with and did a great job decorating the room. It was much quieter than my wife and I expected. We would definitely stay again.

I just saw the review by Frank W for Waters Inn and I was puzzled by his lukewarm review. So I checked his other hotel stays and his high ratings were for the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, another luxury resort in California and a boutique hotel in Houston. These places all cost MUCH more than $70 per night. I got the feeling that Frank was rating based on whether or not it was a five-star resort, not on how happy you are with the accommodation for the price. It looks like we can rate when someone's review is helpful. Is there no way to rate when a review is not helpful?
We appreciate your kind words, I too thought that he might be confusingly "star" ratings with customer satisfaction "bubbles".
