We made reservations the beginning of August to stay Labor day weekend 2016. I made sure that they were pet friendly they said yes but we would have to take the small cabin we said no problem. Two days before we were to check-in we recieve a call that we are welcome to stay but we would have to kennel...

This message is for trip advisor representives only. I do not think it is fair that this person can write a review on my property because they never stayed here and they were never told they can bring multipul large dogs to a kitchenette motel room for two people only. Simply said this not a ture story and I do...

We stayed here over night for a family reunion at Higgins Lake State Park. Easy to find tucked off the main road. Very clean, felt like I was staying out our family cottage my Great Grandfather built in 1940. It is the epitome of the Up North experience. I love the water out of the tap, made my English breakfast...

I booked this resort (skeptically due to some reviews I read) for a Mother/Daughter birthday get a way. Janet, the owner was very kind and helpful. She upgraded us to a separate bedroom cabin (for a nominal fee) which was perfect for us seeings how at the last minute my 3 yr old Grandson came also. 😍 The cabin was...

It is a beautiful lake. There are also paddle boats that you can use for free. The fire pit and shuffleboard were my favorite features. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished. The resort is only a mile from great local eats in downtown Gaylord. Fishing was great: we caught 3 small-mouth bass and some walleye numerous smaller fish. Owners...

My husband and I booked a room for early August. We were unable to make it then so I told the owner to keep credit card information we would come as soon as we could. The room would cost $89.00 which wasn't bad for enjoying rowboats and swimming to a raft. When we couldnt come until mid October it never...

I charged this tenant $35.00 for the damage their dog did to a bedspread. A five inch tear was repaired by the dry cleaners. This cost is the responsibly of the dog owner. I did not charge anything for extra cleaning inside nor outside the lakefront unit from the dog or dogs.

This is an older motel in a very pretty spot on Dixon Lake. The rooms were very clean. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. There are grills available for use. There is a short walk down a hill to the lake. The owner, Janet, was very nice and accomodating. We were in town for a dog event, and there was not...

I was looking for a place to stay while golfing in the area and this is place that we choose to stay. It is off the beaten path and about 15 minutes from the downtown area. It was dated but clean. There are older rooms and ones that have been "updated." I use that term loosely since the bathroom was...

Over the Labor Day Weekend I had 3 different couples spend the entire holiday weekend here. Everytime I saw them when I was sweeping the grounds outside all three couples told me how much they were enjoying their relaxing stay here and taking in some lakefront activities. This review was wrote by a man that only stayed here a couple...

This friendly up-north gem is situated on Dixon Lake in Gaylord, MI. The lake is quite picturesque and offers great swimming, boating, and fishing opportunities. The units at the motel have new carpeting, great mattresses, and the building somehow always seems to be freshly painted. Not a great place except for the lake view. Rooms are old, musty, and stuffy. My friend described it as a kind of "Bates Motel" atmosphere.....The lake is beautiful, but this place needs major updating.
