We have stayed at the Homestead for years but this time we were a bit concerned by the lack of knowledge by the staff. The pool side food/beverage staff were absolutely clueless. They told us they have fruit bowls but when we ordered two (2)...More
One staff member at the pool were constantly nagging our children if they had their key cards to get into the pool. We only had two cards that the adults kept, so it made for a lot of running around. Given this, the staff member...More
Although we have been staying at the Homestead for several years, it has never been up to our expectations. Yes, the landscape and scenery is beautiful due to the beauty of Lake Michigan, but the Homestead itself is lacking. The beach club pool on Lake...More

This was our first trip to the Sleeping Bear Dunes area and we decided to 'do it right' by staying somewhere really nice. This was not the case! The room(Fiddler's Pond)was ok. Clean, dark with a very small bathroom. Poor bedding. The grounds were in...More

None of us had any trouble at all with wifi. We had fridges in our rooms at Fiddlers'. The little village is right there; family members used the store and had breakfast there - I didn't. Don't know about ice - didn't need any. Being so close to the awesome cottage towns up and down m-22, don't miss the chance to enjoy those and the other fabulous things to see and do in the area. One of the best shorelines in Michigan for beauty and memory-making!

I think that Little Belle is romantic with views of a small pond. But Fiddlers Pond ( the least expensive) is also nice. We've stayed everywhere and we're able to find romance in all of them! Yes, this place is a little unkempt on the outside of the rooms as this resort is on the water and in the woods. The grounds are beautiful! I hope you enjoy your trip. Every place we've been to whether here or somewhere else, there is trouble finding people to work. They do they're best here with that problem. Some of the restaurants were unable to open last year due to the lack of help. But it's like that everywhere in Florida ( where we live in the winter) also.
