The Inn is beautifully decorated, has wonderful garden areas, and is located on waterfront property. The hosts are very attentive and serve exquisite breakfasts, both in presentation and taste. "Fresh and locally caught" shrimp and crab has a whole new meaning here, since they are caught just off the beach in front of the Inn, and many vegetables are grown on property. The view from the decks of each room are wonderful, and it isn't unusual to spot wildlife swimming by. Innkeeper Michelle is a master of "attention to detail" and very knowledgeable about the area and what to see and do. I took advantage of one of their kayaks and enjoyed a nice morning paddle. Its no surprise that this is an award winning B&B, and I highly recommend it for anyone planning a visit to northern Vancouver Island.

This was our second visit, and we hope to be back. Michelle and Stephen are great hosts.....they really have thought of everything. The Inn is very comfortable with great views, lots of wildlife, and is now even better with the addition of the deck space outside the rooms. The breakfasts are wonderful, and we really appreciated the great coffee, the steamed crab, the kayak on the bay, and the lovely pack up breakfast on the day we had to leave early. Thank you both.

Spent four nights recently and it was fantastic!

Views are tremendous and hosts welcoming and friendly. We stayed in Eagles Aerie and it was a lovely comfortable room. Lovely big closet to keep all you cases, etc. in. There is a small fridge in the room and plates/cutlery, if you want to sit and eat out on the balcony.

We saw lots of eagles, an otter, seals from our balcony.

The highlight of the stay are the breakfasts...Wow! The owner Stephen is a retired chef de cuisine extraordinaire and the breakfasts he creates are a work of art and taste sublime! Whilst there I had the best breakfast I have ever had, and we have stayed in some wonderful places. Stephen makes use of all the ingredients locally, berries from the garden, seafood from the bay and puts it together with a bit of magic. One morning we were out early as we had a trip booked and Michelle, Stephens wife ensured we had a delicious breakfast to eat before we left.

The hosts are friendly, but not intrusive and the place is spotless.

If you like peace and quiet, nature and a breakfast to die for this is the place to come!

The hosts were warm and welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. The house is spotless, the views are amazing from your private balcony and the breakfast is straight out of a 5 star restaurant. Highly recommend this B&B and hope to return soon

We stayed here for 3 nights in July and had the most amazing time.
Michelle and Stephen were wonderful hosts, the breakfast was outstanding! The house is spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed right on the beach with a lovely garden.
We had the smaller room but the view was beautiful and we spent a lot of time sitting directly outside on our decked balcony.
We saw black bears, otters and eagles and loved the peace and quiet that surrounded us.
We would highly recommend a stay here if you are planning a visit to North Vancouver Island!

We met the owner at a walk in Port Hardy. After we took a look at their art gallery we where invited for tea to this beautiful B&B. It’s like the most beautiful place on Vancouver island that we saw. A house right next to the beach and exceptionally open and warm hosts. Thank you for that beautiful day with you!

Steve and Michelle took excellent care of us at their lovely inn. There were four of us (two couples); one had the upstairs bedroom and the other took the downstairs suite. Both were roomy, well appointed and very comfortable. The breakfast that was served at 9:00 a.m. was spectacular! What a delight. We visited with other guests staying there and had a very lovely time. The beach is just steps away. While we were there (we stayed one night), we saw an eagle, fish jumping in Stephens Bay, an otter, and a black bear! Amazing! Would have stayed longer but they were booked (we reserved over a month ago). Next year, we plan to return for a longer stay and try our hand at fly fishing right off the beach. If you want a relaxing and pampered holiday retreat, I recommend The Inn on Stephens Bay!

We stayed here for 3 nights and wish he had stayed at least a couple more. Our room looked over the bay and after a day hiking we would return to watch the wildlife in the bay. Michelle and Stephen are great hosts, very professional and their breakfasts are awesome. We also took advantage of borrowing their kayaks and exploring the bay further. If you want peace and quiet the well appointed B&B is the perfect place to stay

On our trip to Vancouver Island we found this fantastic B & B. Michelle and Stephen are very friendly and warm hosts. We should only stay 1 night and stayed 3 nights. The view is breathtaking and sometimes you can see bears on the beach. Breakfast is the best we have got on Vancouver Island. Greetings from Gudrun & Jörg. We wish the best.

This is an absolutely superb BnB. The location is just pristine and the comfort of their home is wonderful. This was our first time to the area and we had planned a tour that left early before breakfast, the owners provided a "light" meal for us which was just outstanding and much more than we could have expected. The attention to detail in is beyond what you could imagine. We kayaked the last day we were there and watched the Salmon jump out of the water. Michelle was so welcoming and made us feel right at home. We booked late and had the smaller room and it was incredibly comfortable with a beautiful view. You will never regret staying at the Inn on Stephens Bay.
