Very neat and trendy downtown place to stay. We were in walking distance of restaurants and VanAndel Arena. There is a neat little bar that serves very good food inside the hotel. They have done a lot of renovations which pay off. Parking on street...More
I was skeptical to grab drinks and dinner in what I considered the breakfast area of a local hotel but I was pleasantly surprised. We live close and decided to walk down one night after receiving a free meal card from the Grand Rapids magazine....More
i stayed here for business. i assumed the LEED certification and sleek website would translate (as it often does) to better design, good products, some thoughtful touches. i didn’t expect fancy, just considered. turns out, it’s the opposite.

I'm pretty they are (although I advise you to check directly), however, overall I'd say the vibe is definitely more urban/hip than family-oriented. The hotel lobby itself is super small and features a bar and a few cafe-like tables. Although City Flats dubs themselves as a "luxury hotel," our experience rendered that claim dubious.
