An older motel on the highway between Sidney and Victoria proper. Close to some shopping and restaurants. Well located for our purposes and reasonably well located for short term tourism. Clean, quiet and while older, is well maintained. We have stayed here several times and will do so again in the future.
Stay away from cherry tree inn the owner is so ignorant. I'm owed a refund and they won't answer the phone. They hang up on me whenever I try to call and Expedia keeps trying to contact them and they don't answer them either. I canceled in plenty of time through Expedia and through emailing with cherry tree inn and they will not help me. do not go to this inn!!! Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.
An older motel with several individual rooms. Friendly checkin. Parking available. Adequate bed and amenities. Used earplugs as I could hear someone snoring in adjoining room. Clean. Coffee maker and mininfridge in room. Pay for 2 stars and get 2 stars.
Lovely little Inn, by the side of the highway. 20 mins car ride from the heart of downtown. Very private. Had your own parking in front of your door. The rooms were small but we weren't there to spend much time in them. Very clean room and bathroom. No problems with hot water :) the walls are thin so we did hear the neighbours TV as if we were beside it :/ only negative thing.
Close to highway, but our room was quiet. Small but beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Lots of tables and chairs outside so we had an enjoyable picnic dinner (takeaway) under an apple tree near our room. Close to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and good value!
We rented a very small room with twin beds but it was only to sleep for one night so it was just fine. Very clean, near the highway but quiet at night. Great price. The only downside is that , for me, I would bring my own pillow or at least pillow case next time. I find a lot of smaller places use very fragrant laundry soap. Most people don't mind it, but it gives me a headache. So if you are like me, bring your own pillowcase Ha ha. Other than that everything was great.
We have passed this motel a number of times and decided that for a one night stay we would give it a try. No expectations, but it was perfectly fine. We had a nice large room with two double beds. Good size fridge and micro. Parking right outside the door. Sure its older, but it was clean and being maintained. Only issue for some would be that you need a car to get to shopping and restaurants. We knew this ahead of time so it was no problem for us. Nice picnicking area and friendly staff. We would stay again.
Probably the smallest room I’ve ever rented. My son was In charge of hotel reservations and wanted to keep it inexpensive, which it was. It was the two twin bed room. The bathroom was so small I had to step around the door to close it. The shower barely had room to shower and turn around, the bedroom area was just large enough for two twin beds and room to walk in from outside. Walls were cracked and patched. The pluses? Solid WiFi, TV had a great selection of channels both US and Canadian. The staff was very friendly and efficient and they had a coffee maker and mini fridge in the room. Sheets, beds/bedding and towels were clean and comfy, that’s what brought the review up to a four.
The room had holes in the wall. The ceiling looked like it was going to fall down. There was no smoke detectors in the rooms. The fire extinguishers were outside on the other side of the building. The shower was so small that unless you were very tiny you could not fit inside. When taking a shower you had to have 1 person hold the shower head and hose you down. No splash guard on the floor so the floor was soaking wet. Would never stay here again.
Our room was 2G. Only problem was that all outlets in the bathroom were closed off, so I had to use my hairdryer in the livingroom. No airconditioning, which was no problem for us in September, but might be in the summer..
