We went for the sleigh ride dinner and elk viewing, and stayed overnight at their lodging. The sleigh ride and elk viewing was enchanting, with light snowfall throughout and great views of some elk (including a couple of bulls with huge racks). You just don't see wildlife like that. So cool! Then, the wood stove dinner in the log cabin...

Our first visit to Thunder Bay Resort was 15 years ago for the sleigh ride, dinner and elk viewing experience with some other couples. We returned this Christmas break to share the experience with our three teenage kids and another family that is close with ours. We had a wonderful time, saw plenty of elk and ate our hearts out...

Have visited this northern resort before, but first time at the Murder Mystery event this past weekend. Group of 6 ladies participated. This is a very unique activity to participate in! Do not expect a relaxed weekend during this event, as it is very fast paced and exhausting, but fun! You witness "actors" during a "murder" and have to solve...

There is a group of cast members and teams of mystery sleuths (max 10 team membes). The event started on Friday night with the announcement of a cast member's murder....

Our first night we had dinner and drinks at the bar/restaurant attached to the lobby. The staff were so friendly! The food was really good and the prices are very reasonable. The next morning we had our complimentary breakfast there as well. We had the same great food and service. That night we went on the horse & carriage ride....

On Sweetest Day, my girlfriend and I went to Thunder Bay to try out the Elk Viewing and dinner. It was the first time for both of us. The horse drawn carriage, which we rode for the elk viewing, was amazing!! The intimate experience with the animals is something that both of us will never forget. We literally had these...

The villa was clean, but dated. The bathroom in particular. Nice ride out to the lodge through the woods, not much to see in terms of wildlife (no birds, squirrels, deer, etc)until you get to the caged elk herds. Impressive and they are pretty close. The ride was great because the weather was outstanding and the leaves were turning beautiful...

When someone has a passion/enjoys what they're doing, it shows; Jack, the owner is wonderful! The dinner was delightful and my family truly enjoyed the experience. Friendly, accommodating, peaceful with clean, nice rooms...what more could one ask for?
