The hotel has a cute exterior, playing off some of the themes of Holland and the Dutch. The interior was very clean, as was the pool area and our room. We had to order a roll away bed and it was delivered quickly and it...More
We stayed here recently and wasn’t disappointed. Charming exterior, Michigan-shaped pool, indoor/outdoor hot tub, billiards, air hockey and ping pong tables, it had everything. Staff was very friendly and breakfast was well stocked with fresh options. Rooms were clean and maintained. The kids are ready...More
This was one of the best IHG hotels I have stayed in! Great location, clean, bright, and fresh! Very, very welcoming and clearly want to make your stay leisurely and stress free! Terrific pool for kids and families! Front desk staff went over and above!...More
This hotel seems new. It was beautiful and extremely clean. When lit up at night, it is very picturesque. The beds were comfortable and the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious too. My family and I highly recommend this hotel.

According to Google Maps it's about 8 minutes from Holiday Inn Express to Baker Lofts. Since I have only stayed at the Holiday Inn, I cannot say whether other hotels would be better. I have heard from other hockey parents that the Hampton Inn, which is right next door to the Holiday Inn has a cool bar right next to the pool, so if kids are swimming you can have drinks and snacks at the bar. Holiday Inn did not have this, so we brought all of our own food and beverages to the pool area, but the staff supplied us with anything we asked for, such as cups, plates, utensils, etc. It also had an indoor/outdoor hot tub which was a huge hit with the kids. If you do not plan to use the pool with kids or a large group, then this may be a moot point. Holiday Inn is a nice clean hotel with great staff and free breakfast each morning. The 8 minute drive will be easy as Holland should not have much traffic (compared to Chicago, which is where I come from).
