Stayed here as a stop over travelling from Massachusetts to northern Michigan. The property looked much better on the website. Property is dated and looks like it has been remodeled with some nice touches, but has a way to go. Strange smell in the room and lobby I assume is from industrial Covid cleaning so I will give that a pass. Check in was pleasant and quick I was given two credit card style room keys. Entering through the side entrance the ashtray next to the door was full of butts and looked like it hadn't been emptied in a while. I was travelling with my wife and we both had trouble getting in the room with our key cards. The same cards worked fine in the outside door. The room was very average. The bed was comfortable with decent linens and the vanity was a nice quality. The HVAC worked great. Other than that the room goes downhill from there. There was a large stain in the carpet and the furniture seemed worn. The internet worked ok. The shower was difficult to use, finally had to call the front desk who told me you have to pull the handle straight out to turn on the water and adjust temperature the normal way by turning the knob one way or the other. Very unintuitive and no instructions to say "pull" on. Once on it worked well and the water was easy to regulate. The toilet worked okay but was quite loud when flushing which could wake light sleepers if you get up during the night to use it. The breakfast was a joke consisting of a very small orange juice, a small fruit cup and a small granola bar. I understand Covid restrictions but have received much better at similarly priced hotels. This seems more like a $60 a night hotel than a $100 a night hotel.…
Great place to stay in a not so great town. Baymont by Wyndham is clean, friendly and very reasonably priced, as well as being in a great location for easy freeway access. Have stayed here several times, especially since they are pet friendly, which is harder to find.
The nicest rooms, Very safe facilities. Love the staff, location and price Best deal that I could find within 100 miles. It was more than I expected. I assume that it is due to it being family owned and managed to every detail. And QUIET.,.
We have stayed at this Baymont a number of times. It is clean and quiet. There is easy access to US 127 and I-94. Breakfast is typical of the Baymont chain. Being just two floors, there is no elevator. Parking is ample. First time visitors must be alert to directions, as the hotel sits on a side street. Beds are comfortable, and bathrooms are always well maintained.
I have stayed at several different hotels as well as other Baymont Inns and this by far was the best. Although my stay was only for two days, I noticed immediately that this by far was the cleanest and well maintained Baymont Inn & Suites that I’ve stayed at. The customer service was amazing as well!
