This was definitely the best hotel I have stayed at. The food was amazing, Steve and Steph were so welcoming, and our room was lovely and comfortable. I greatly anticipate my next stay at the Kalamazoo House.

My husband and I celebrated our third wedding anniversary by planning an "Under the Radar Michigan" weekend. UTR is a show on PBS that celebrates places and things in Michigan that are cool and different to discover. The Kalamazoo House was mentioned in the book, otherwise we would never have know about this quaint B&B. From the moment we arrived...

This was a lovely place to stay while attending a big academic conference. Lovely breakfast food; quiet, clean and comfortable room. I enjoyed the 25 minute walk to WMU campus, and the walk to restaurants in town was also quick and pleasant. Steve and Steph are gracious hosts who pay great attention to detail; and there are lovely places indoors...

This was hands down the best B&Bs I've ever been to. We had one of the rooms with the whirlpool tub. The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and so clean! The bed was like... a cloud. The B&B is so well run. They have thought of every little detail. There were extra towels and pillows within a few feet of...

I was a guest during December 2016, when my son was graduating from WMU. Steve, Garret and Steph were such wonderful hosts, from my initial contact when I booked 3 rooms, to helping me choose a restaurant for graduation dinner, and making us so comfortable while visiting with our family in the parlor area. Words cannot fully express this beautiful...

My husband I recently spend 2 nights at the Kalamazoo House as part of a mini road trip through Michigan. The house is gorgeous and the decor beautiful. Our room was very cozy and the bed was super comfortable. We met Garret the cook and Steve the owner, both couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. The location is perfect...

I have stayed at many B&Bs, but I put this at the very top. Literally right next to the Kalamazoo art museum and a short 10 minute walk to downtown for restaurants, shopping, bars, and the State Theater. A beautifully renovated historic house, super clean with no rough edges I see in many other older houses. All the amenities you...

Make a reservation and start being regularly bombarded with updates and instructions. The philosophy is the more written directions the better since they obviously will not be there when we arrive. We have parking instructions, an outdoor lock combination, instructions about signing up for breakfast and dozens of details about the house and its amenities. As expected, we arrive and...

I chose the Kalamazoo House B&B to visit on a solo trip because of the central location and the responsive staff. It was perfect; the location was walking distance to everything I wanted to see and do: brewery tours, fine dining, coffee houses, shopping, and was walking distance from the train station where I arrived via Amtrak. the house is...

We felt very welcome at the Kalamazoo House, while our hosts never intruded on our privacy. The history of the House's ups and downs is very interesting. It was easy to imagine it in its Victorian heyday during a candle-lit soiree in full period dress. The breakfast was tasty and well-presented. Altogether a delightful overnight.
