We had a blast! The weather was cool, but our cottage was toasty warm and lots of room for a tiny cottage. Loved having our own kitchen. Love the food truck for breakfast...amazing!!! The huge game room was fun too. No tv's, buts lots of board games, Billard table, ping pong and other outdoor games too.

My wife and I were looking for a place to spend a week after dropping our son off to go camping on North Manitou Island and tripped across a listing for Fountain Point and lucked out getting a last-minute reservation. This place is the real-deal when it comes to an old-fashioned family resort because it is rustic and family-oriented. There...

This is a lovely resort that has kept to its cottage roots. It is located on a huge lawn that slopes gently to Lake Leelanau. West facing, so we've enjoyed those long sunsets. White clapboard cottages with a large main lodge. The scale is nice, the kids have a lot of room to run around, there are a lot of...

We have a group that meets each year to play Horseshoes and the Game Risk. We choose this venue for the 41st annual " Summit". A truly tranquil and picturesque setting along Lake Leelanau, with spacious grounds. We stayed in the Brown Cottage, which easily accommodated 10 adults and two kids ( the latter loved the swings and Pirate ship). Did...

We spent a week in Cottage 7 in early July. The cabin was perfectly fine; a small kitchen with everything you need as far as utensils, pots & pans, coffee maker, small microwave. Bathroom was nicely updated, and the bed was fine. Breakfast was a typical continental with yogurt, cereal, fruit, breads but you can certainly cook in your cottage...

We just had our annual Lake Family reunion there. There were almost 50 of us, and we were spread throughout the cottages. We were extremely happy with staff and service. I even did a load of laundry and I came back to it neatly folded. The staff were great with my children. We felt as though they were part of...

This is a great place to stay and play. The staff is wonderful and very accommodating. There are so many things to do on site you would never have to leave. A truly picturesque venue with plenty of historic charm. We stayed in the hotel and it was very clean. For most rooms, the bathrooms are at the end of...

It was a last minute idea and they were most accommodating. We booked from Thursday night to Saturday. The location was great, not far from Fish town and Suttons Bay. A short drive to Glen Arbor. Had cabin 17 and it was nice, felt like we stepped back in time, Dirty Dancing movie. Cabin had a useful kitchen and a...

Fountain Point has beautiful surroundings and views of the lake, and the porch is wonderful to sit and enjoy a sunset. The hotel rooms are clean, but very old and worn. The showers are down the hall as well as the toilets which could be cleaned more often. With the increased rates one should expect better housekeeping. There is no...

Pros: Quiet location in Lake Leelanau but not far from the more expensive destinations of Glen Arbor and Suttons Bay. Close to a grocery store in the village of Lake Leelanau. Affordable prices. Hotel rooms & private cottage options. Private beach. Fireplace, books & reading area on the first floor. Tennis courts & outdoor games. Free wifi. Very family-friendly. Cons:...
