my foreman and I stay at the "lakes" every year, over the labor day weekend. small and comfortable rooms, cleaned everyday. the nearby "loading-zone II" has the best pizza, burgers, and lake trout anywhere. dancing, bizarres, train rides, tons of rummage sales, copper-mine tours, bicycle trails, and super people all around. we look forward to our visit every year. terry60@sbcglobal.net

Everything you need is walking distance of the place! It is in a perfect location and the new managers are real down...

We really enjoyed out stay. Felt very safe. The motel is dated, small room, the tub did not drain quick, old furniture, but it was clean. Great historic cafe across the street. Room was $55 a night, which was posted outside the hotel. I would recommend it.
