Our family has been spending a weekend in July up here for the past 10 years. By family I mean 5 siblings and souses, children and their spouses, and now our grandchildren. My mother- in- law has provided this for us as a chance for us to all to get together and enjoy each other. Every year the staff has...

The lodge is a landmark, classic 1920s Lake Resort with a great beach and lobby but... It's sadly run down not dirty bit quite worn. No shampoo or conditioner little bottles and some desk staff are not ver nice, while another wasn't sure if we could have breakfast the next morning?!? Breakfast was delish but that's another review

This inn has a simple charm and is centrally located to area activities. I loved that the inn has a private beach across the street. It is the ideal place to kick back and relax on the porch or beach. No tv's/internet in the room- perfect chance for some R & R. My only issue was that my sheets had...

We actually stayed at the sister inn of Lakeside, The Gordan Beach Inn, but we had our breakfast at the Lakeside Inn. I don't care what others are saying, it looked very peaceful and charming. As we enjoyed the breakfast buffett at the Lakeside Inn, people next to us were talking about hearing foot steps in the hallway all night...

Very shabby. :( Beautiful Historic Place that needs some sprucing up. Beds are hard and bedcovers are OLD. One wooden rocking chair in room. mirror in bathroom was 10 inch oval. Odd to say the least. The best thing about Lakeside Inn is that Lake Michigan is right across the street and it's centrally located for wine & beer tasting....

I had a wonderful weekend at the Lakeside Inn. The room was quite small, really simple but quite lovely. We stayed on a blustery fall day. Had a beautiful walk on the beach. We were welcomed back by a roaring fire in the lobby. Mariatafoni's review hits the nail on the head!

This place is great! A step back in time for sure, but a very nice step. The rooms are sparse, its true, this isn't set up for luxury. But it is clean, predictable, warm, dry and welcoming. Wife and I escaped there for a quick weekend getaway before the holidays - and enjoyed the fireplaces and a long winter walk...

My family has been visiting lakeside inn about 2 times a year for 4 years and we absolutely love it! The building is over 100 years old and wears it's character and charm warmly. Winters are beautiful, with the fireplaces burning 24/7, endless firewood and a couple living room spaces to gather and play games. We always bring plenty of...

The details....stayed Friday Oct 18th, off-season, 3rd floor room, paid $115. We're in our mid 40 's, well traveled, from Chicago, Detroit and NY so have been around. This is an older Inn, it is not young, it is not pretentious, it is well worn, small in places, expansive in others, therein lies its appeal. If you are looking for...

There was one person who ran the Inn, and they were present between 10am and 10pm. If you needed anything outside of those hours, you are out of luck. The floors were wood. Not hardwood, just wood. They creaked, loudly, whenever you walked. I heard everything that everyone else was doing and saying, and it kept me up all night....
