We have eaten two meals at the Riverside recently and had excellent experiences both times. Highly recommend the lamb shank. The service folks were friendly but respectful. (At seventy I bristle when a bank teller I have never seen before calls me by my first name) Good artisanal cocktails.

Thursday evenings are the Rivs contribution to the happy hour scene (5-7) & it is a meaningful one. About 8 small plates of a variety of dishes that are their version of local comfort food. This evening it included shrimp skewers, Spanish Patatas, risotto, green beans with garlic. Potato fingers, polenta, etc. $5 each. Plus 4 $5 wines. They have...

This is one of the few lodging choices in Leland that are walking distance to shops and restaurants. The Riverside setting is very nice and the staff staff are very friendly and helpful. The old and creaky building dates back to 1902. There are fewer than 10 rooms and all of them are named. All rooms are upstairs and there...

It was such a nice place and the location was great. The Leland Country Club was out the back door and provided a beautiful afternoon of golf. The Riverside Inn is the perfect place to reserve and enjoy the cooler temperatures. Everyone was very helpful and friendly.

This place was recommended to us as a great place for dinner. It's a very nice building, over 100 years old and I'd rate it very high for the appearance of the interior and exterior. That's where my rating stops on a high note. They had 2 fish dishes on the menu, we ordered one and got the other. The...

You better be able to climb stairs, because all rooms are upstairs. We could not have had a better view of the lake in the good harbor room. The rooms are small, but adequate. No TV or any of the things you normally get at a B&B. The breakfast was continental.

We stayed two nights in the southwest corner room with windows on two sides. It overlooks a small, cozy harbor by which boats may access the Riverside Inn (best restaurant around-requires reservations even if you're living there-very popular) and another close-by restaurant/bar. After going to bed the first night, we took a video of an old "woody" leaving the other...

The B&B part of this establishment seems to be an afterthought. The building has much history and is beautifully maintained. The rooms are quaint but substantial in size (there are only 4 rooms all on the second floor, no elevators.) We didn't eat at the restaurant below but heard raves on the food,l The breakfast was homemade granola, breads, fruits...

We stayed at the Riverside Inn as part of a visit to see the leaves in Michigan. The hostess was most gracious and made us feel very welcome. The room was spacious and the bed quite comfortable. The food in the restaurant was out of this world and we enjoyed our meal there immensely. It was a lovely stay and...

Oh my goodness.... What a wonderfully delicious and superbly prepared dinner!! We had the stuffed calamari which was to die for!! Totally different than any calamari we had ever tasted!!
