Traveled with my sister and a friend. The 1st floor room was great, very spacious for three people. The breakfast was good but the Gin and Tonic that I enjoyed while sitting on the porch and enjoying the view is most memorable. Would stay here again. It was close enough and far enough from the center of town.

We stayed 2 nights in a room with 2 queen beds so storage space was not an issue. The bathroom was very small but got the job done. The a/c unit was nice to have and cooled great however it was very noisy. The included breakfast is really good and if you are lucky enough to be seated at the...

Loved our stay at the Island House Hotel. Yes it is an old hotel and our room was small but very clean. Did not need a view from our room with the amazing views of the harbor from the front porch and lawn. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They held our luggage until our room was ready since we...

This is an old hotel and it still looks old in and out. But, is was very clean. Much cleaner than many new hotels. I had always considered myself a bit of a hotel snob. But I realized this week that I just like a really clean hotel. This fit the bill. Some of the old look is also charming...

I enjoyed our stay at the Island House. Our first morning at breakfast we enjoyed someone playing on the grand piano in the hotel's restaurant. Breakfast was good and served promptly, not a buffet. Rooms are decorated in an old-fashioned style that wasn't very appealing, but we did enjoy the old photographs of the hotel and island that decorated the...

Great location just down from the strip overlooking the harbor. Fire on the lawn at night, rocking chairs on the porch, families just hanging out. The room was clean, nice for an old hotel. Well updated. We traveled with an infant, the halls were noisy at night until about 12pm, the hotel should put people with small children in lower...

This has to be something you do during your life. Island is something you must experience. Downtown is typical tourists type town. Crowded with bike's, people and carriage's. This hotel is centrally located and still far away from the crowded main street. Rooms are dated but charming. Food very good. Staff very helpful and attentive. Grounds are beautiful and relaxing....

We sat in the extension at the back of the hotel and enjoyed the view of the beach. Even though it was a warm day, they had heaters on, which caused us to leave earlier than we expected. Coffee and service were good.

Ok, if you are expecting a huge room with all the 21st century conveniences at your fingertips, you will not like this place. Stay on the mainland. If you go to Mackinac to sit in your room, stay home. But if you want a real Mackinac Island experience at a reasonable rate, this is the place. The hotel is spic...

A beautiful romantic couples weekend here at Historic Island House Hotel! Perfect location overlooking the Lake. The staff members are young, friendly and accommodating ! Our room was on the 4th floor, so we took the elevator up to 3rd floor and took stairs to 4th. Room 400 is like a small attic room, low ceiling section and a small...
