My husband and I have stayed at the Windermere for many years and love it! The rooms are clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. We love sitting on the porch watching the freighters go by, looking at the lighthouses, and people watching. The sunroom is...More

The ferry trip time depends on which line you take. I usually take the Starline, and it is about a 10-15 minute ride. I am prone to seasickness but do just fine on the ferry, maybe because it is moving quickly. Sometimes sitting on the top deck (as long as it isn't too rainy or cold) can help. I have been on many crowded ferried but have never seen anyone get ill.
