First time staying here. I must say I was impressed. a weekend get away with my wife. Look forward to staying again!!!! The room was large and seemed like a small apartment. The staff is friendly and make sure that the breakfast basket and fridge are restocked everyday. Only negative was that our bed could have used a few more... More

This is a great hotel! It combines a historic structure with modern amenities and what a great value! You could stay at any place off the highway for around the same price or you can stay here in luxury. It is also within waking distance of just about anything. Great place, couldn't recommend it more highly! Thanks!

The suites are lovely - very nicely appointed, sparkling clean and comfortable. The staff are great and the ease of coming and going all day is quite nice. The central location in downtown Monroe is perfect and proximity to the Riverfront and local eateries is perfect. This was my first time here, but definitely not my last.

If you are ever near Monroe, Michigan, do yourself a favor and stay at Hotel Sterling. This hotel was just fabulous. The rooms are huge. Whoever designed the rooms did an outstanding job. Everything was spotless and appeared to be new. The mini fridge was stocked with goodies and it was all complimentary. The free wifi was fast and the... More

We returned for a visit to Monroe after having been gone 16 years and this hotel was recommended and a wonderful surprise. The rooms were huge and lovely, beds comfy and overall equipped with everything you need. It's a boutique hotel in a historic building so the exposed brickwork is beautiful but with all the modern conveniences. It has a... More

Very clean, fridge/kitchen stocked with goodies. Such a lovely and quiet place to stay. Thoroughly enjoyed the downstairs sitting area and the upstairs bedroom with a big bathroom. I will definitely be staying here again as well as recommending it to all of my friends coming in from out of town.

Stayed here for one night and enjoyed everything. Bed was huge and comfortable, TV turns so you can watch it from bed or from the comfy leather seats in the large living room area. Big table for eating or doing work, free snacks including small breakfast items and drinks in the fridge, beautiful bathroom. Felt like a home. Highly recommend!

Hotel Sterling by far has been the best hotel I've ever slept in! I spent one night and didn't want to leave. This place is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Very clean and well kept. It is not your typical chain hotel, a boutique hotel with minimal service but fabulous at the same time. I felt as if I was staying in a studio... More

Hotel Sterling is a first for me: a boutique hotel with minimalist service. In an old building tastefully renovated with quality modern finishes (including marble bathroom tiles), it is unexpectedly good for the price. Boutique hotels where I live are small upmarket full-service establishments. Hotel Sterling is rather different – breakfast is a basket of cereal choices, a minibar of... More
