Hotel Sterling by far has been the best hotel I've ever slept in! I spent one night and didn't want to leave. This place is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Very clean and well kept. It is not your typical chain hotel, a boutique hotel with minimal service but fabulous at the same time. I felt as if I was staying in a studio...

Hotel Sterling is a first for me: a boutique hotel with minimalist service. In an old building tastefully renovated with quality modern finishes (including marble bathroom tiles), it is unexpectedly good for the price. Boutique hotels where I live are small upmarket full-service establishments. Hotel Sterling is rather different – breakfast is a basket of cereal choices, a minibar of...

The room was fabulous, the stocked mini frig. was a plus. The sleeping area was very comfortable. The shower was a nice change. The only complaints that I have is they need to update their internet site. Curbside suites ARE NOT on the first floor. There are 2 sets of steps to get to one of the lowest suites AND there is...

I stayed at the Hotel Sterling on a long weekend visit for a family wedding. I was aware before arriving of the no elevator situation and I was fine with that. I had the door code to enter the lobby and the reservation envelope was there on the desk in the lobby. I went up to my room and even...

Bathroom is great with rain shower. Small fridge microwave and keurig. Complimentary cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars, yogurt, juices, pop, milk and coffee. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash provided. They provide...

Recently booked a suite for a local family wedding per my sister-in-law's suggestion. I was really surprised to find such modern and luxurious accommodations in Downtown Monroe. Totally renovated inside, cool old fashioned Brick exterior, two level suite. Looked like something from HGTV! Dark wood floors, marble bathroom, exposed brick wall along staircase, really made it special. My 18 year...

Appreciated the value, ease of checkin, checkout and included goodies in the room. There were options for a light breakfast in the room and included in the price. There were a couple of housekeeping issues but I left a note so hopefully they will be taken care of. Stayed in Rm 205. Beware of the step up after entering the...

We stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend for a family get-together. Our room was so spacious, luxurious and comfortable. We felt like we were in a big city hotel. The hotel was quiet and very well maintained. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

The Hotel Sterling is a renovated older building in downtown Monroe, Michigan. It was very clean, quiet and relaxing. We appreciated the NO PETS policy. Once you check in, there is someone available via phone, but the lobby is not staffed 24/7. My wife and I were very impressed with the accommodations much like a luxury hotel. Breakfast items were...
