Part of the NWR (Namibia Wildlife Resorts), the camp is inside the park which gives an easy and longer access in the park to explore and spend time around the waterhole. Gates are open from sunrise to sunset, they offer morning, afternoon and night game drive. We choose to go with the Night Game drive and it was quite a...

We were at the campsite, and that was OK. That is: the place needs maintanance badly, and the staff is inefficient and barely polite. The location however, very close to the waterhole is very good. This waterhole is a very good viewing spot, especially later in the evening, which is only possible if you stay at this camp, which includes...

We stayed at halali for 2 days. I have been here also twelve years ago. Back then the staff was much friendlier and service oriented. This time the staff was a disappointment. Bad service, means no tip. They didn't seem to bother. Always talking to each other while customers are waiting. The waterhole is excellent. It is busy, with most...

What we liked: Watering hole: rhino showed up at 5pm every day!! Elephants & lions there too! Camp site: took a while to find a tree with sufficient shade but once we had it was great. Loved our evening brai under the setting sun. Power points provided light and camera charge too Nice large pool to cool off in during...

We stayed at Halali five years ago and nothing has improved. The ablution is still dirty and in poor repair. The restaurant is totally disinterested. We tried to get a table and find out what the cost is, but both the waiter and the manager ignored us. Standing outside we fund members of a tour group that had eaten there...

We stayed 2 nights mid September in a 2 bedroom bush chalet. It was clean and in good condition. There is a kitchenette with a counter top stove, small bar fridge and shelving with crockery, glasses and utensils plus tea/coffee making facility. The outside patio area had table and chairs and a large brick braai with outdoor lighting. We used...

We visited all 3 etosha camps so we got a perspective. Honestly this one was the worst. It starts with the staff attitude which makes you feel bad for disturbing their midday nap. It goes on with the food which is total disgrace (the worst we had in Namibia) , the dinner feels like highschool canteen. And it ends up...

I felt that everything was average here. The rooms looked in need of modernising and the fittings all seemed cheap and brocken, food was average and service was disinterested. However the waterhole is lovely and the seating area is great.

Compared to the other lodges Halali doesn't offer more considering the room. But the restaurant is pretty good. There are several options and you can eat as much as you like. Also the water hole inside is really active and provides a nice view. But the camp site is really bad, you simply need to sleep on a parking lot....

The stay at Halali was good, but it did not prove the best destination within Etosha. The chalet/cabin we had was pleasant and it was a modern construction, if the facilities were fairly minimal. I guess different kinds of accommodation provide different elements. There is a large pool with minimal shady area, and the restaurant buffet was generous, but Halali...
