We visited as a group of five adults and had booked two suites thinking that the chalets had separate rooms - a potential problem was quickly resolved without any fuss and a third suite provided. Fabulous food and friendly staff made the overnight stay a great experience. Do take care with the surprise appearance of cleaning staff in your room...

Our travel agent couldn't get us into another lodge so we arrived with low expectations. We were pleasantly surprised by this open air, friendly, beautiful lodge located on its own private Onguma reserve. Our little bungalow had a tiny waterhole in back and lovely comfortable air-conditioned room. The staff was unbelievably friendly, organized, knowledgeable and informative. Dinners were delicious and...

Aoba Lodge is located just outside the von lindquist gate which is great if you want to spend the day in Etosha or if you are coming from Namutoni in the evening. The staff are helpful, polite and the food good. Rooms are equipped with mosquito nets. They also offer game drives within their private park although we did not...

We were at the Aoba lodge for two days. It is a lovely place with great houses and friendly personnel. At the waterhole we saw kudus and Damara dikdiks. It is a lovely place to be with great food. It is situated just outside Etosha on the Onguma farm.

Visited Etosha Aoba with my wife in July 2016. During our trip to Namibia we stayed in 8 different lodges and the Etosha Aoba was the best overall place that we stayed in. Although separated from the National Park by a fence, the game reserve that the Etosha Aoba is situated in contains all the animals that can be found...

The lodge is located in the middle of a private wildlife reserve, which makes it special to go there. At night you are only aloud to walk from you room to the restaurant. The rooms were nicely decorated and had a separate living and sleeping areas. The food at the restaurant is very good and the service is nice.

The bungalows are spacious and the beds great. All are far apart, so it's really private. Own parking area in front of the bungalow. You dine in the common area, and the tables are usually outside (so in winter, fleece plaids are provided). The lodge is situated just outside the Etosha Lindquist gate (east side), in its own reserve. You...

We stayed three nights in the Etosha Aoba Lodge. The entrance to the Onguma reserve is right next to the von Lindequist Gate, the east entrance to Etosha NP. From the gate its a 13 km ride on a small gravel road to the lodge. It takes a while to reach the lodge but this trip is already like a...

Etosha Aoba is right outside the gate entrance into Etosha National Park. Very convenient access whether you are driving yourself or if you are going with one of their guided safari tours (highly recommended). The lodge itself is very charming. Things I loved: - A very open and airy dining space - Pseudo-library and sitting area - Patio which overlooks...

What a beautiful and charming lodge. Very open and airy. Lovely outdoor seating by the pool, on the patio, overlooking the waterhole or around the evening fire. Easy Etosha access but we also enjoyed staying on the property one day and saw zebra, kudu, honey badger and more. The evening light casts a golden glow over the forest area, lanterns...
