On advise from some locals we went on the hike in the resort, You have to pay 50 rand pp. Hike (C) takes you along a river with amazing clear water and idyllic waterfalls. Were after you can have the first view on the lower viewpoint. Hike (B1) takes you up the mountain into a lower part of the canyon...

We stayed here during our honeymoon because we wanted to hike the Leopard trail - which trailhead starts within the resort. We found out that the resort is quite big, that it has great spaces for kids, with playgrounds and swimming pool, and that the restaurant serves good food and a handy AYCE buffet option for the hungry ones. Our...

I love to stay here. From here you have a great view to the 3 Rondavels, the Blyderivier dam and world's end. This is a place where South Africans love to stay for a couple of days each year. They have different categories of houses. You might want to spend a couple of Rands more. Typically the houses have a...

We stayed over for one night at Blyde River Canyon Forever Resort in a self catering chalet. It offers a braai facility, microwave, oven, stove and fridge. Air conditioned room and en-suite bathroom. Water from geyser was luke warm. Amazing views of canyon from upper viewing area. 4 hiking trails & the Loerie trail was our favourite - scenic waterfalls.

We stayed in a two bed lux chalet (LCD4) and were surprised at how well the chalet was furnished. Wonderful lounge with flatscreen TV and a kitchen with oven and microwave etc. Great braai area outside but we used the on site Restaurant which was good. Fantastic views of the Three Rondavels from the property and some great hikes which...

Our chalet was clean and looked like it had been renovated as most the furnishes were new. We stayed in a two bedroom, 1 bathroom. Chalet was very clean. Enough space for us and our 3 kids. Kitchen has basic crockery and cutlery. Towels supplied daily. Chalet cleaned daily. Nice braai area. There is a restaurant in the resort if...

We booked one night at a family chalet. Upon arrival the receptionist struggled to find our booking and generally did nothing to make us feel welcome. We had no view, extremely noisy neighbours, and our bag of wood that we had left at the fire place was stolen. The chalet was clean if one didn't look too closely and it...

Just spent the weekend here and was really impressed. The chalets & gardens are really well kept & the staff were very friendly & seem to enjoy their jobs. Levian in the restaurant was especially good! Location is perfect & the hikes spectacular! Really good value to at only around AU$50 for a night. Would definitely stay again.

The resort and campsites is beutifull and clean, the only concern is that the resort allows people in after 23:00 to put there tents up and keep the complete camp awake till 05:00 in the morning. We also complainend about the noise levels and drunkeness of these campers and the management of the resort mentionend that this will be adhered...
