We were really looking forward to spending 2 nights at this place as the reviews were really good. Did we miss something or were the owner/ staff having a bad day?. On arrival a cleaning lady let us to our room. Everyone was going on about Wendall being very helpful. We didn't even know who he was as we didn't...

Our three night stay was comfortable, clean and pleasant. Our Hostess, Maria, was so helpful and kind, she even gave me a vitamin supplement when I wasn't feeling well the one day. It felt like home away from home. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this peaceful place with it's well kept gardens.

We stayed for two nights at Thaba Tsweni in August. During our stay, we drove around the Panoramic Route as well as hiked around Blyde area. Coming "home" to this self-catering hotel was a definite highlight as we were able to braai and make a couple favourite dishes. Not only is it a great place, the owners are very helpful...

Thaba Tsweni is not a hotel, per se. It is a series of self-catering "apartments" very conveniently located just north of Graskop. Signs clearly mark the way. PROS 1. Units are clean and decorated in a "safari" theme. 2. The property is rural, and secure. 3. They not only provide a fireplace, but a box full of wood (including kindling)....

We stayed in Thaba Tsweni based on the Trip Advisor reviews and thankfully it was everything it was described as. We have two young kids and only had only one night to explore the area. The owner was a delight from the minute we arrived early that morning. Having only one day(and it was a cloudy start) he set us...

I was very pleased with our selection of Thaba Tsweni. We used it as a stopover between Kruger and Jberg to break up the trip and spend the day at the canyon. We were very surprised. Although I'm not sure what they mean when they call it 'lodge and safari's'. It was every bit a suite hotel with a large...

Chosen for its proximity to the Blyde River Canyon National Park, we had only booked one night and came to regret our tight travel schedule. The lodge was clean and very spacious with deck space and a fully equipped kitchen. Only negatives we found were it did not have a dining table (just bar table and stool style with no...

Well'run guest house, with clean, spacious chalets that allow for self-catering. Wonderful provision of fire places and wood, if you feel chilly in the cool mountain air. Well-kept gardens and a good nourishing breakfast (if ordered), also add to the charm of this place. Ideally situated for viewing the Blyde River Canyon, and the magnificent waterfalls in the area. Wendel...
