After arriving here we were brought to our tent. Well, this is glamping extra-de-luxe. A great (big and lovely) bed in the middle of the room, with an ensuite bathroom. Never had a toilet with such a nice view! Two game drives each day: there really is a lot of wildlife to see, but we also loved the scenic views...

Komati Tented Lodge in Nkomazi Game Reserve is truly a hidden gem! A short and easy 3 hour drive from Johannesburg and a wonderful greeting on arrival by friendly and helpful staff, who really set the tone of our stay there, and exceeded our expectations. Lovely, large and spacious tents, all completely private from one another, and all with their...

The Reserve is a comfortable 3 1/2 hour drive from Johannesburg. The accommodation is the best tented camp I have ever stayed in. Service is absolutely tops and the food is wonderful. Its a small reserve about 15,000hectares but is very well stocked and we saw 23 different mammal species including Cheetah Lion Elephant Rhino and abundant general game, with...

Our 4 glorious nights at Nkomazi seem like a dream - if only my dreams were so enchanting. From the moment we arrived we were treated to gracious service and an endless series of surprise touches (I won't mention them and ruin the joy of discovering for yourself). The tents were gorgeous and as well-appointed as most hotels but where...

A group of nine of us spent five days here in late June to celebrate my birthday. Each and every one of us spend the following week raving about every aspect of this reserve. Our tents were appointed better than most hotels. The food was consistently excellent. The staff knew everyone in our party by name and were incredibly gracious...

We stayed at this glorious place for 3 nights. The tents are absolutely luxurious and has everything that can make them comfortable! We really enjoyed the meals! The evening at the Boma was lovely and romantic! The next 2 nights we ate in the dining room as the weather turned very nasty! They had gas heaters on in all the...

Imagine the real "Lion King". Staying at Nkomazi Game Reserve gives you that feeling. Nature is overwhelming, the lions are roaring and the "tent" you are staying in is the most luxurious one I have ever seen. What a hospitality, what kindness, what great drives!!! Have a dip in your plunge pool outside your tent and look at the Njala...

The last thing we needed was WiFi. But, you know what, it was great being able to follow the Phillies daily. Yes, Virginia, they are a lot of fun to watch this year. The camp was perfect in every respect, and the most difficult decision we faced was whether to have French Toast or bacon and eggs for breakfast. What...

We booked 3 nights at Nkomazi as part of a trip to SA for a wedding in Cape Town. We flew to Nelspruit and were dropped at the gate by our taxi and greeted with a cold beer by one of the rangers. The whole experience from then on was exceptional. Evening and morning game drives with our ranger Celebrate,...

We booked 2 days at Nkomazi of the 2 weeks while we were in South Africa visiting our daughter who lives and works in eManzana.
