Overall a very nice hotel. Nice location by the beach, good set of services, very friendly staff, nice decor. I recommend taking advantage of the various activities offered as they are well organized and reasonably priced. The restaurant options are ok, not great but there are a few options outside the hotel you can look into. I would most probably...

The room was nice with a day bed by the window. I booked a room with an ocean view and at night I could hear all kinds of sounds from the nature. Really loved it. There is a quiet behind the hotel too. Despite the nice local touch of the decor in the room, I found the bathroom to be...

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Nirakanai. Our room was large and beautiful ( better than the photos) with a terrace overlooking the gardens and swimming pool . There was lots of space to tuck our luggage away from the sleeping area. Wifi was not accessible in the rooms which was the only downside. We felt...

This was a really enjoyable family stay. The room are nice, beds comfortable, all the usual amenities. The activity desk in the lobby is very helpful with bikes for hire, kayaking trips, boat trips and more. Restaurants are really good - we tried a number of different styles of food and all were excellent. The pool is in front of...

We stayed here for a couple of nights during our visit of the Okinawa Islands. Of all the hotels we have visited this trip this is probably the least Japanese. Many foreign travelers visit this island. The staff is exceptional and they did everything they could to make us happy. There is a trail down to the beach and it...

My friends and I stayed here for two nights and we liked the service quite much. The staff were nice. For example, they insisted in carrying our luggage as checking in and out. They were always smiling. Having said that, I would appreciate it very much if the staff could improve their English communications a bit. The room was spacious....

It is our pleasure to write this comment to express our appreciation to all staff members of the Hotel for their professional and hearty services that they provided during our stay last week from 27 to 30 July 2016. Our exploration journey to the heavenly island of Iriomote could not have been that enjoyable without the top-notch services from the...

My family and I stayed in the end of July, for 3 nights. Many outdoor activity course enjoyable. We enjoyed snorkeling in the first day, scuba diving in the second day, trekking and kayaking tour in the third day, and yoga exercise, and swimming in the forth day. A delicious, casual restaurant is near hotel in 5 minutes walk distance....

Iriomote is quite remote and there are few places to stay on the island. When westerners go to tropical islands they have a set of expectations that Nirikanai will not necessarily meet. We loved the place and stayed 6 nights. But we are not regular resort going western tourists. The hotel met us at the ferry wharf and transferred us....

This place is incredible. A private, pristine and rubbish free beach. Incredibly cheap rates of the quality of the accommodation, facility and food. Breakfast was amazing and the staff were so kind. This is not a large scale resort. It is low key and very intimate and stylish. Most resorts will break the bank but not this place. We were...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With no airstrip and a lone coastal road, the island of Iriomote is as remote a place as one finds in Japan. Even so, its rivers, waterfalls, mangrove swamps, and long curving beaches can be explored in a host of outdoor programs here at the island's largest resort, promising fun and thrills for adventure-seekers of all ages. ... more   less

“Rooms in the middle of the long thin line that is the hotel are best. Overlooking the pool has the best views of the ocean and its not noisy at all. On the far left of the building (if standing on the BEACH looking AT the hotel) rooms over the top of the restaurant have a pretty ugly view of the roof of the restaurant which is a dingy flat concrete roof. So middle or opposite side away from the hotel is best!”
