Do visit Turkistan - the mausoleum is stunning. But this is a municipal hotel that has been forgotten... Dodgy electrics in the bathroom - live wire by shower/tub, water from room above dripping through main light fixture. Dismal service - the staff know it's a terrible hotel and don't care. Poor quality, unappetising breakfast - no choice, ended up eating...

This is supposed to be the best hotel in Turkestan, and, in fairness we had a reasonable nights sleep, but our "deluxe" room was very tatty, particularly the bathroom.
