Entering the beautiful wood carved building we knew we have booked something special. The Peacock Guest House is located inside the ancient city of Bhaktapur. Best location ever as it is located in the oldest of the squares in the city and the quietest one too. Very easy to get to the rest of the highlights of the city and...

In my opinion this is the best place to stay in Bhaktapur and one of my favorite places I stayed during my two month trip across Nepal, Bhutan & India. Great energy in this beautiful heritage building with very peaceful, minimalist decor. The staff was wonderful and great to chat with and the food & coffee in the cafe was...

My mother fractured her foot in Kathmandu before out visit to Bhaktapur. This made stairs and long distances extremely inconvenient for her. We booked the annex rooms (which were away from the main building and dining area) but were pleasantly surprised that we were given rooms in the main building instead to accommodate my mother. It was a free upgrade...

this was our first stop on our trip around Nepal and it was a fantastic way to start, it set the tone for the rest of our trip. This place has so much character and feeling to it, it is hard to do it justice on here. The staff are very friendly and the little cafe area in reception is...

Dear Guest, Namaste and thank you very much for taking time out to share your feedback staying with us. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us and we are glad that you enjoyed our old heritage building. It is sometimes difficult with the low ceilings and doorways as this building still retains its old architecture. The cafe...

We stayed in October and it was the perfect place to stay. Very close to other attractions, but far enough that it is peaceful. Breakfast is always amazing, and each day they make their own jam. The rooms were basic but great. Low ceilings (as are most places in Bhaktapur) but it offers authenticity of this area. If you need...

Dear Guest, Thank you for your warm feedback. It was a pleasure to have you with us and we are glad that you enjoyed breakfast and everything. Yes our rooms are quite basic as they are not large rooms and the ceilings are low. Hence we have just decorated it with just the necessities to make the rooms look bigger....

This gem of a hotel, with it's wonderful hosts, was the highlight of our Nepal trip. Arun and Indira have done a great job restoring and maintaining this historic building with classy taste. Despite being 800 years old, the hotel is clean and has modern bathrooms. Do watch out near the doors as I have hit my head a couple...

Dear Neeharika, Namaste and thank you for feedback. It was wonderful to have you and your friends stay with us during one of your friend's birthday. It was a pleasure to be a part of it. We are sorry that you hit your head a couple of times on the low beams. However the building was made in that way...

Dear Guest, Thank you taking time out to share your experience staying with us. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us minus the bumps that you had on the low ceilings. Its unfortunate as this is really an old building ( A UNESCO building) dating way back to the 15th century. We have only renovated the interiors...

The guesthouse itself is a historic place and listed as a World Heritage Building of Bhaktapur. Attractions such as the Peacock window, Bhimsen Temple and Dattatraya Temple are just less than two minute walk from the guesthouse. The guesthouse run by a friendly and very fluent English speaking couple. The breakfast and coffee were great. During my stay, the taxi...

Dear Guest, Namaste and Thank you. Peacock Guesthouse is in Dattratreya square the oldest square among the 3 others, hence taxi drivers are not very familiar with it. This hotel is one of the most interesting I've ever stayed in. In the heart of the town, it offers rooms with decor that is extremely cultural and unique - rooms are clean too. Dear Matt, Thank you for your feedback. It was a pleasure to have you stay with us. We are glad that you enjoyed our home baked products especially the muffins. Yes the mornings here start early.
