We were pleased to be the first two guests for 2023. Great to see the hotel reopen. The team were fantastic and nothing was too much Trouble. HIghlights: 1. Room overlooking swimming pool 2. Breakfast 3. Team are wonderful 4. The beach was a real joy. On day one we walked along and watched the fisherman. Day two we went out dophin watching. Happy stay.

We planned to stay here for 3 days but decided to stay for 5 days as the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. We have made a friend for life with Alex who went above and beyond to arrange day trips and amazing memories for us. Clean, modern rooms and bathroom with a big clean pool and breakfast included. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay, staff work hard to make sure you have the best trip and the cleanest, most comforting facilities. Beautiful place couldn't recommend highly enough! The beach is not even 1 minute away, can't wait to come back already! Thank you so much ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rooms are clean and tidy and great value for money and great location. The staff here are amazing and went above and beyond! Alex the manager looked after us very well and we left with him being one of our friends. Sassy and Devva also where very friendly and where always around if we needed help. Honestly a fantastic place to stay!!

This was the best stay we had in Sri Lanka. The rooms are a good size, clean, tidy and nicely decorated. Bathroom was large, especially the shower. The shower also had hot water which was nice. All rooms open out to the lovely, large pool and garden. Location is excellent - 100m walk to the beach and close to restaurants/shops. The food was great. Breakfast came with an omelette, pancakes, fruit, toast and tea/coffee. We also had lunch and dinner there which was great - the Fried Rice was a highlight. The staff were so friendly, always greeted us with a smile and nothing was too much to ask. They even dropped as at the bus stop after we checked out and made sure we got on the right bus. I highly recommend MRD Beach Hotel!

Excellent hotel Rooms are spotless. We enjoyed the very nice swimming pool Very friendly staff, willing to help you out with wathever you need. At the restaurant, food was delicious and tasty made by Saradha : excellent cook Thank you very much to the fabulous staff !!! They made our stay so enjoyable 👍

I've found the MRD to be just excellent in every way. The rooms and linen are new and good quality. Swimming pool is cleaned daily. Pleasant staff catered for all our needs. The aircon works well and electrical sockets are plentiful and square pin, yes consistent.

Great new hotel just minutes walk from Uppaveli beach. We stayed as a family of 4 (two teenagers) in two rooms. Very clean room with ac. Swimming pool, restaurant and laundry service on site. Breakfasts were amazing traditional Sri Lankan food and the staff went the extra mile for service. Our best hotel over our two week SL holiday.

It's a new hotel which located at a walking distance to uppuveli beach, like in 3 minutes. The highlights are beautiful environment, clean room, good service and good food @ in-house restaurant but you got to pre-order the food earlier.

Very well located, brand new (with the advantages of new mattresses and new furniture). Spacious rooms, spacious bathrooms, fantastic pool (huge for only 10 rooms of the hotel, English breakfast and Sri Lankan breakfast, very good. But the best of all the service and staff of the hotel, very friendly and always willing to help you in everything they can.
