We were at Pearl oceanic 4 of us friends, and it was amazing, manager Krishantha was a excellent host. We had all our meals there, it was really good. All the staff was friendly and we were 4 ladies and we enjoyed their hospitality. Their food is really good. Breakfast was excellent. I would recommend anyone to go there to relax and have a great time
The establishment is located in the small village of Sampaltheevu, in a small islet of greenery and coconut trees. The place is calm and restful. All the staff are welcoming, attentive, dedicated and professional. There are only 4 bungalows, each with 2 bedrooms. All rooms have a private terrace with a view and direct access to the ocean. The rooms are humbly furnished. The volumes are generous. They are equipped with air conditioning. The bedroom, bathroom, linens and towels are spotlessly clean. The bathrooms are equipped with walk-in showers. Room N ° 2 : Twin Room. It has a wardrobe, 2 pieces of luggage, a bedside table, a make-up area or a desk with a large mirror. The bedding is comfortable. The property has a restaurant. The dining room is bright. The menu is simple with local or western options. The chef easily adapts to vegetarian menus. Breakfast and meals are very generous. Breakfast can be continental or local. Meals must be ordered in advance. Which can be a constraint and an advantage. It is a pledge of "homemade and freshness". In addition, with this principle, the chef can adapt to personal requests to give you maximum satisfaction. The value for money is excellent in view of the service and the services offered…
best place to spend a vacation. Awesome food 100% clean and tidy very good and kind staffs with maximum customer service. best place to relax. Silent and charm place so I highly recommend this place to spend your vacation
We had a relaxing 3 night stay here. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was very good too. Rooms were simple but clean and it is in a great location. The grounds and pool were well tended too. We would stay here again. Jeff, Jan and Shirley
We went for a walk from Uppuveli Beach and came accross this property on a really secluded beach. We asked if we could pop in for a drink and they were happy to accomodate us. We sat in the lovely gardens overlooking the sea for an hour or so. The grounds look good and well maintained. If you want peace and quiet this is the place to go.
Our group consisted of 4 families and we stayed at the property for two days. The location is superb and food was quite good. The rooms were clean and the staff were quite friendly and helpful except for the lady manager who was very unfriendly and quite arrogant towards her guests. We were not provided with table water and tea bags for the second day. The staff did not bother toclean the rooms on the second day. In summary this location can be marketed well and it offers a pleasant stay for its guests with good value for money. But still if the manager is not replaced or sternly advised to change her ways this property will not attract repeat clients.
We can only highly recommend Pearl Oceanic after our 4 night stay. The staff could not have been more accommodating and hospital during our stay even bringing our meals to our patio when requested. The food was fabulous the room extremely comfortable and the location fantastic as we virtually had the beach to ourselves. Thank you so much Pearl Oceanic!
Overall my stay at Pearl Oceanic was perhaps the best vacation I've had in a while. The hotel is located right on an amazing stretch of sand. The private beach literally has no one on it (we saw 2people in 3days here) The sand is white and the water is Crystal clear. The beach feels like it belongs to the Bahamas. The hotel staff is super sweet, extremely warm and caring and the rooms are large, with all amenities and everything works well. I will definitely come back to Trincomalee and it will be to stay at the Pearl Oceanic Resort
A delightful discovery with accommodation about 20m from the beach and coconut palms shading the grounds. Helpful friendly staff, refreshing pool for a swim and the Indian Ocean lapping onto the sandy beach. Accommodation in beachside villas very adequate and comfortable.
We had initially booked a fancy resort. But stumbled upon this "pearl" later while browsing TripAdvisor. And promptly replaced our earlier booking with this. And oh boy, the best thing we could have done! Yes it's away from town centre, but we had our own car. They do arrange transport if needed. Staff were warm & welcoming. Manager Mr. Loyola speaks perfect English. Sudhir, Shiva the chef & his wife were all super helpful. 8 cottages, minimally furnished, not luxurious but clean, working aircon, large modern bathrooms with continuous hot water. Limited toiletries. Tea/codfee maker in room. Complimentary water bottles too. All rooms face the ocean, which is about 50 metres from the edge of the garden (which itself is about 25m wide). Benches to sit & watch the waves. Deck chairs to laze on - we lay here both evenings gazing at endless stars in a clear sky. The other surprise was a pretty large swimming pool, 5 ft at the deep end, very clean and well maintained. Meals have to be discussed & ordered well in advance (at the end of the previous meal). Menu has quite some choices though breakfast is basically eggs, bread, sausages, juices, coffee, tea. They were out of beef, pork & prawns so it was veggies, chicken, fish & crab for us. Breakfast costs 4 dollars per person. The Sri Lankan dishes come with accompaniments so enough for two persons. We found the prices very reasonable. For 4 meals over 2 days, 2 adults & 3 kids we paid USD 100 in all including 25% taxes. In fact the one lunch we ate in Trincomalee town took us 1 hour of searching around because most restaurants appeared basic in amenities and short on menu options. The sea was choppy as it had rained the previous nights. But the beach was completely ours. The kids had a blast while we walked to entire almost 3 km stretch of clean sand. All in all a very good stay. …
