Visited the hostel with a friend on our travels in Nicaragua. Lovely hostel, great relaxed vibe, good location and the staff are brilliant. We really enjoyed playing on the pool table in the evening, relaxing in the large hammocks and playing with the pet tortoises! Thoroughly recommend to anyone of any age!

We recently stayed at Tortuga Booluda and couldn't fault it! We'd had a nightmare journey and arrived a day later than our reservation- but the staff were still super friendly and didn't charge us for the night we'd missed - thank you! Rooms here are quite simple but really clean and the beds are comfy. The shower was powerful and...

Easily one of the nicest hostels I've stayed in on my travels... The private rooms are great with plenty of fans to keep cool (although it does still get very hot here). The shower is a power shower which is very warm. The rooms are clean and towels provided, you can also get drinks and snacks at anytime of the...

We really liked this place. Stayed for 5 nights and felt really at home here. Very relaxed hostel, but not a party hostel in case that's what you're looking for. Great value beers on sale ($1 for a beer). Lovely area to relax in evenings with hammocks and a pool table. We were in room 8 I think which is...

We stayed in a private room with a private bathroom in the back of the ground floor. The water pressure in our room was incredible for Central America! The water was cold, but this was necessary as Leon is very hot and the room location was a bit stuffy. Check in and out was very easy and we enjoyed the...

I stayed here for a week and was impressed with the comfortable atmosphere. The dorms were clean, every bed had a fan, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. It was a great place from which to explore the city and meet other travelers.

Tortuga Balouda was a pleasant place to stay for a few nights in Leon, we splashed out on room 8, a private double (could fit a family) with it’s own bathroom (best shower I had in Central America) and it’s own balcony with hammocks. The hostel staff were very helpful in arranging volcano boarding and onward travel, the location is...

I only stayed here for one night, but the main thing I took away was that this is a nice, quiet alternative to some of the more party-oriented places and that it would be good (maybe better) for slightly longer visits. Positives: -Kitchen access, including space for your own food -Breakfast and coffee provided (I really liked the banana pancake...

We stayed here two nights and although it was hot we had three fans in our room(#6). Eleanor was very helpful, with the planning of nearby attractions and also buses for our onward journey. Breakfast was great...self made banana pancakes and coffee. Room was clean and comfortable. The best part was the gathering area with hammocks and sofas/chairs where you...

this quiet hostel is well located in Leon, only a few blocks away from el Parque Central. The room was clean and the self-serve pancake and banana breakfast is quick, easy and good! Only reason for 4 stars instead of five is the fact that it seemed like we were bothering the staff when we asked them for service... that...

Dear Maxime G Thank you so much for your positive review. I am sorry that you felt staff weren't attentive enough. This is something we take very seriously and we train our employees in.
