We had problems to get back to our sailing boat due to stormy weather conditions. For some reason it was incredibly difficult to find an appropriate taxi boat for the short trip to our sailing boat. The receptionist made countless phone calls and finally organized us an opportunity to make the trip back safely! We were very thankful and pleasently...

Visited the bar at hotel tamaris last week for cocktails and was very disappointed. Poor service and cocktails had no flavour. Had to literally walk through bar, reception and restaurant to find someone to serve us. Would not recommend it for drinks. Did not eat or stay at the hotel.

The hotel is situated in a very nice place right on the sea front. Inside the hotel the rooms are not very spacious but still are able to sleep at least 3 in some of them 4 in others some of the rooms have views right out onto the harbour and entrance to the bay.

Honestly, I did not expect much considering the low price, but apart from good location this hotel was pretty bad... The room was decently sized, but our sheets had stains and the bathroom was dirty (full of hair). Breakfast was totally basic and the food was not fresh at all (for example served croissants tasted as if they were three...

This is a basic hotel with not a basic price! It is clean, the location is I am guessing what you pay for but the rooms are barely at a 2star rating. The view is 4star for sure. It is summer so is very busy below and if it is peace and quiet that you want this is not a...

We'd booked a double room with sea view in his hotel and to be honest I'm glad we only stayed for one night. The room was basic and had a small hatch-like window which overlooked the harbour. The air-con didn't work so I didn't get a decent sleep because it was too hot in our room, even with the window...

I have spent one night in hotel Tamaris (out of the season). Bathroom is clean, staff kind. It is situated next to the port so if you are going without your car maybe it would be the best option......

I stayed at the Tamaris during a cricket tour to Vis. Functional without being a brilliant hotel . The staff were friendly and helpful and the location is excellent for the ferry and for the main harbour area of Vis. Breakfast was ok if a bit limited. Can get noisy at night if your room so take earplugs

A clean and comfortable room with decent bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel staff pleasant. Breakfast is adequate but uninspiring. An excellent location but sleep sometimes disturbed by passing drunks or selfish people on boats moored nearby. A lovely island to visit. Military tour worth taking for interest and as an opportunity to see more of island.

maybe could use a touch of 21st century, but I found it charming and part of a whole Island of Vis story (check basic history facts). very kind staff, clean. take room with sea view and enjoy. breakfast was basic but ok. location is perfect, close to ferry and right in the centre. take a walk along the coast all...
