Stayed a night with a room over looking the vineyards. Good heating lots of natural light. Recently renovated bathroom. Restaurant and wine tasting attached. Covered parking at the rear. Bed was comfortable.

First of all, I would have to concur with Ryan B. that the restaurant manager was a bit icy but after about our 3rd day she warmed up a bit. Perhaps it doesn't help to be American in the age of Trump?...who knows. I would also agree that the restaurant did feel a bit clickish.

Pros:
Beautiful sweeping view of valley and nearby villages from top floor room, beautiful town, great location along the wine route.
Very affordable price, nice weekly wine tasting event in cellar with a very lovely hostess.

Cons:
The half board was not worth it. For 20 euros each we were told there was only one price fixed meal available and it felt hastily thrown together.
The breakfast was just ok, not much thought put into it.

We stayed at Emmebuckel for one night, before moving on to another hotel.
The rooms are priced in two categories, depending on whether they've got a balcony. Ours didn't, but we still had some kind of view, albeit lower to the parking lot and more towards the street.
The bathroom is decent: completely modernized and a large walk-in shower. The room itself wasn't exactly uniform in its style, the furniture and blankets seemed old fashioned.
The breakfast buffet is optional. Although tasty, the price per person is a bit on the expensive side. They did bother to provide gluten-free bread on demand.

I don't know about the hotel because we didn't stay there. Traveling through, we stopped for lunch and picked this restaurant by chance. The good: Nice atmosphere and the restaurant is beautiful. The bad: we didn't feel welcome. No one was rude, but we got the distinct feeling that we didn't belong. We tried (in our broken french) to compliment the woman who appeared to be the owner on the food and decor, but she only responded with a monotone "Merci". But we noticed her engaging with and laughing with other guests that were french speaking. The food was quite nice but the whole thing left a bad taste in our mouths. We left feeling like she wished we had not stopped.

Itterswiller is a wonderful place, and this hotel has great view over the vineyards. The rooms were comfortable, clean and the service was great. There was an old lady running the hotel, who spoke little English, but what a charming lady.. We would definitively stay there again!

The bedroom was how it should be, clean and silent. Breakfast had everything it needed. There is a large parking of the hotel itself available. The view on the wineyard is truly amazing.
Only remark is the staff. We felt like we were bothering them by arriving there and asking more coffee at breakfast.

Lovely location overlooking the valley of vineyards. Due to the balmy weather we were able to eat dinner on the terrace and the food was excellent in terms of choice and delivery. Breakfast was okay. Parking was free with plenty of space. It is a very quaint, old fashioned hotel and the staff were very pleasant.

It is fair to say that we probably picked the wrong hotel for us in the right location. There are two reasons for this.
Firstly given the extremely hot weather and the lack of air conditioning none of our party slept well. I don't understand why hotels such as this don't invest in some fans for this sort of situation.
Secondly we were a group of adults and the family oriented nature of the hotel was a negative for us, as poorly supervised children were running around and creating noise until very late at night. Of course I don't blame the hotel for this but rather the parents who had no regard for the needs of other guests but if you are looking for a quiet retreat this is probably not it.

Hotel Emmebuckel, meaning Bee Hill, is in a beautiful Alsacien village named Itterswiller. We aesily found and easily checked in the hotel, You have to mention how many wifi codes you need for your mobile phones and computers, because they give differents codes for each of them for free. The room is very clean. You can see beautiful vineyards and small villages from the window. It is very quite and you can really relax here.

We stayed here only for one night but now we're sure we'll be back one day. The Inn itself is really nice located, vineyard overlooking room is spacious, clean and cozy. We loved the main building's interior as well 💛 balcony is a great spot for your evening wine session!
