We stayed for 2 nights of our recent trip and wish we could have stayed more! Clarissa was ever the most gracious hostess. The room was spacious, the town quaint and very good central location for day trips through wine-country. Our tour to Ch. Rousselle with Julian was a lot of fun and worth the day. St. Emilion is an...

A wonderful, charming B&B. Well situated for access to St Emilion, Bordeaux and Medoc. Just 100 metres away is the ferry across the Gironde for convenient access to the wineries north of Bordeaux. Walking distance to the Citadel in Blaye and several good restaurants. Our room was spacious and comfortable, although the bathroom, like most French bathrooms, was a bit...

We stayed here on a relative's recommendation. All hosts (Clarrisa, Julien and Les) are very welcoming. The B & B is well located near the citadel in Blaye and has free parking out the front. We had the room on the top floor which was comfortable and spacious. A kitchen, DVDs, books and free wifi are available for guests to...

old building, crammed with "stuff" which you can spend hours looking at. Three interesting characters full of information. Les's debunking evening was both informative and entertaining. Good value held in a gorgeous gallery. Julian can recite the history of the 2CV like no-one else. Clarissa is both guest-supporting and an artist of talent. Rooms as one would expect in an...

We have had two short stays at Villa St. Simon - the second time to pick up wine we had bought as a result of the first visit! There's a warm welcome and relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are fairly basic but that's part of the charm. The owner is a wine enthusiast (to put it mildly) and very generous with tastings...

We stayed 3 nights at this charming bed and breakfast in Blaye, France. Very easy to get to and in a prime location to explore both St. Emilion and Medoc areas of Bordeaux. Having discussed the nature of our visit prior to our arrival, the proprietors had set us up with one of the best rooms in the Villa. Facing...

We had a wonderful, relaxing, and informative visit to Villa St Simon in early September. Les, Clarissa, and Julian were wonderful hosts, and we enjoyed the other guests as well. The evening wine tastings, great wine tours to Medoc and St Emilion, the Vauban fort and terrific restaurants in walking distance. We'll definitely look for an opportunity to return!

I stayed at Villa St Simon for 1 night with my wife during a 2 week holiday in the nearby area. Les & Clarissa were absolutely fantastic hosts, very welcoming and helpful. We chose the Rouselle room, we were not disappointed as it was a large double room with a huge bathroom and an amazing balcony overlooking the local park....
