We stayed three nights. The hotel in conveniently situated close to the N176 crossing of the Rance, but tucked away at the end of a quiet country lane. There is a signposted circular walk to the estuary from the hotel, and the rooms and grounds look out to the water and green countryside. The welcome is warm, and the proprietor,...

We only stayed one night at the Rigourdaine as we travelled through Brittany but I wish it had been more! The farmhouse is beautiful, our room was huge, the views are gorgeous and the grounds are lovely. Patrick was extremely gracious and helpful in planning our trip to Dinan. We hope to visit the region again someday and will definitely...

We found the Manoir by searching for charming hotels in Brittany on the internet. If you are looking for a nice small country hotel to use as a base for discovering the surrounding area by car, you can't do better. A converted old farm, run by a lovely couple that are very welcoming and full of advice to give travelers...

My wife and I got shut out of reservations we thought we had in Dinan and after consulting the Rick Steves guide and some fast telephoning, we got the last room available at this amazing oasis out in the countryside for our 2 night stay. The host was charming and helpful. The room on the third floor in under the...

My wife and I booked this hotel as part of a 3 week vacation of France in the latter part of September, 2009. We used this hotel as a base for 3 days visiting the Brittany area. The owner, Patrick, was a very gracious host who was always available to help us in any way. The hotel itself, which is...

This b&b is in a lovely scenic area. It's wonderful to just sit in one of the outdoor areas on the grounds and take in the scenery. Our hosts were so helpful and gracious. They provided directions, suggestions for site seeing in the area and even laundry service. The laundry service had an additional fee, but we didn't have spend...

Staying at the Hotel Rigourdaine met all of my expectations. It was a lovely retreat in the beautiful countryside of Brittany. Our room was very clean, spacious and charming with a lot of room to store your clothes and modern bathroom facilities. It was tastefully decorated, had comfortable beds and pillows and very reasonable rates, which includes a delicous breakfast....

Stayed here last month for six days with my wife. We love Brittany and this particular area is really very special. The river Rance and the sea are nearby and places like Mont St Michel, Dinan, Dinard are close by. The dates of our visit was no accident as, for years, we had always intended to spend our 52nd Wedding...

Rigourdaine was a haven of peace overlooking fields and the river Rance, with proprietors who guarded that peace and insured there were no unwanted intrusions or noise. The rooms were spotless. Breakfast was provided but there were no evening dinning facilities. However, we went to a number of good resturants within a ten minute drive and also, a little further...

Please be aware that although the hotel is nice enough on the outside- the staff is terribly rude, unprofessional and discourteous. The region is so friendly so I imagine there are many other friendlier places to stay.

We are sorry they found our staff rude, but we have a tradition in France (and we suspect the whole world) that precludes people drinking their own liquor in the hotel bar.
