We arrived at Tahquamenon Campground just as it was full. It was evening, raining, and we needed someplace to stay. Fortunately, the clerk at the gas station in Paradise told my husband there was a small campground just outside of Paradise. We were in an...More
Nice Campground. Clean restrooms with lots of hot water. Able to easily walk to lower falls (about a mile). The drive to upper falls is about 4 miles. Both falls have nice boardwalk trails for viewing!
This is a very clean park with flush toilets and showers. There was NO grill for the fireplace rings which caught us by surprise. This is a very child and pet friendly place. The sites are small and close together which is why it loses...More
We stayed in site 101 within the semi-modern/rustic section of the Rivermouth Campground. When we arrived, we were greeted by helpful and courteous staff at the gate, who helped us locate brochures and maps outlining trails in the area. They also had bundles of firewood...More

The State Parks do not have any full hook ups but you will have the ability to dump or fill up with water at the dump station located at the front of the park. We stayed at both the lower falls and the Rivermouth campgrounds and found we preferred the Rivermouth campgrounds. Both are wooded areas.
If you are arriving late in the area, make sure you have your supplies - food, wood, ice etc. because there is not much nearby the campgrounds. We arrived late (7:00 p.m.) at the lower falls and we did not have any fire wood. They told us that someone would be around selling wood but he never showed. There are no on-site stores and you may have to drive a distance to find the supplies you need.
It is a great place to camp.
