The 1911 Restaurant is a real "sleeper" in this area unless you already know about Bay View in Petoskey. We had seen the sign from the main road through town going North; however, none of our friends in the Boyne City area knew much about this restaurant. We went with a couple who had lived here for 35 years and...

Charming place, great location, beautiful historic neighborhood, very reasonable rates...but... * At check-in, we found no towels in our room, except for the wet one hanging from the bathroom door. * The next day, again no towels in the room. We put up a "Do Not Disturb" sign for the next (final) day, so we wouldn't have to chase around...

Thank you for your review. I agree that we need to have information about weddings posted on our website event calendar and at the front desk so when taking reservations guests are informed in advance. I've talked to the front desk and shared your concerns and they have already been informing the gentleman who updates our website to put this...

This historic inn is very nice and we enjoyed our stay in this very unique neighborhood. The 3rd night of our trip was a Saturday and there was going to be a wedding taking place that evening. A wedding means that you could not enjoy the restaurant or any of the common areas of the hotel. This is something you...

Thank you for your review. We have taken steps to let guests know in advance of a wedding on site and whether or not the restaurant is open or not. This information will be on our website and the front desk has started increasing their awareness so they know when taking reservations to let the guests know (in fact, of...

My husband and I stayed here for the second part of our honeymoon. I enjoyed the great charm of the hotel, from the brass keys to our hotel room to the décor in the room, to the piano player each evening at supper time. Because this is an older hotel, the lighting was a little dim, with the sconces and...

Thank you and congratulations on your wedding! We appreciate your kind words and so happy that you enjoyed your stay and the beautiful area. Could you tell me what room the leather is torn on the chairs. We are planning to do some refurbishing this winter during quiet season and I certainly want to address that! Thank you so much!...

As a long time patron of this establishment I have noticed a general decline in the condition of the property. While the dining room and porch look better than ever, my room had visibly burned out chandelier bulbs and major dirt/dust accumulation and dirty green carpeting. Also I noted the discolored toilet water in the bowl and the extremely poor...

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Terrace Inn. We will most definitely be back in the future. The Terrace is an old hotel with a lot of character and charm. We enjoyed the relaxing front porch, terrace dining, and the cozy lobby area. The room was very comfortable and decorated nicely. The staff was pleasant and accommodating....

Nice old building in nice location by the lake but it stops there. Front desk staff girls where like walking Zombies, no acknowledgement at all when you walk in, no smile no hello and didn't seem to know how to check someone in. Often no one there at front desk for long stretches of time. When you do get their...

First, I'd like to say that this review bothered me a great deal. Having not been on site this summer as I have been managing at our other property, I was really upset that our front desk staff would be perceived as unfriendly. That being said, calling them walking zombies is not necessary, nor helpful. I know these girls now,...

I booked this through a Groupon Getaway for a first time visit to Petoskey. Initially, the price was the most attractive feature, as it's been my experience that it is often difficult to find reasonably priced lodging in Northern Michigan during peak season. I've just returned from 2 nights there, and would definitely recommend it, even at rack rates. It...

I had never stayed at a B&B before but our traveling companions selected this as one of our stops. It is so large it felt like a historic hotel, which actually what it was. With so many rooms there were lots of guests. Mostly older but quite a few newlyweds and young families. It was a lovely place to stay...
