The city doesn't have much traffic unless there is an event blocking off main roads like cruise night in June or downtown events blocking the main streets. The hotel is located slightly away from those high traffic areas, so traffic doesn't reach the hotel. The hotel has interior corridors with a hot & cold breakfast in our newly renovated lobby & breakfast area. We have expanded with varying meat options (sausage, bacon, ham). The hotel has 10 pet-friendly rooms for rent. There is a pet fee of $20 per night with two pets per room (80lbs or less), we do ask that you call the hotel directly to reserve the pet friendly room as we do have limited rooms and not just put it in the comments as rooms are rented, if we do not have prior notice of renting a pet friendly room, we will have to deny the room as the hotel has specific rooms for pets on the 2nd floor. We do use the $20 to do a complete stripping of the room after the pet leaves so any future guests can stay without any problems. The heated indoor pool is heated to 83 degrees at all time. The pool seems very cool to people as the average human temperature is 98.6 degrees, so when someone enters the pool it does take time to adjust to the temperature especially when you are in swimsuits. Unfortunately, due to pool safety & chemical levels, we are unable to increase the temperature which would lead to higher chemicals in the pool and that is unsafe for everyone. The hotel tries to find the right balance. Pool samples have to be submitted for testing by health department every week. All the pools in the Port Huron area are heated around the same temperature.
