The Painted Turtle is a real treat! We stayed in the Vintner's Retreat that was spacious and on the first floor. High quality and comfortable. Christine, the Innkeeper, is fabulous and her food is AWESOME! We had a delightful breakfast. The location is just south of downtown St. Joseph and across the street from Lookout Park on Lake Michigan. There...

My husband and I decided to get away for the Valentine's Day Weekend. He found this charming B&B on Tripadvisor and booked us for the weekend. When we arrived we were warmly greeted by the hostess. She offered us wine and cheese and took us on a tour. We were then lead to our room to relax. We stayed in...

The Painted Turtle Inn is a great place to stay. It's very comfortable accommodation in lovely surroundings. There are very large grounds surrounding the Inn and we enjoyed a walk around them while we were there. We stayed in the Dragonfly room which was really well appointed and quiet.

My wife and I stayed here over Labor Day weekend and were pleasantly surprised with our experience. Usually we do not stay at B&B's but now I can see the appeal. The breakfast in the morning was awesome all three days and they even brought out French press coffee to drink. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are...

Well, where do I start? Ok, the room - we had the Moonlight Serenade for 4 nights & loved it. It was spotless & extremely comfortable with a lovely ensuite which had an air bath as well as a large shower. The decor was superb too. The room had a large TV & an iPod docking station which was lovely...

We stayed in Dune Grass which faced the busy street. With the AC on and ear plugs, noise was not a real issue. The king bed was very comfortable and bathroom well appointed and attractive. The only issue we had was the very small portions offered for breakfast - e.g., small fruit cup and a small square of quiche. For...
