We stayed at the Marywood this past weekend for a girls' getaway. We had a wonderful time. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the extra sitting room made visiting with friends very enjoyable. The breakfasts were very good and the location is only a couple of blocks from downtown which was perfect! Thanks to Jan for hosting us for the...

We have stayed at the Marywood twice and absolutely love it! It is the only place we stay now when in Saugatuck. It is in a perfect location so you can walk to everything. They have a beautiful front porch that is perfect for coffee and a good book. For breakfast, Jan and Gary always make something delicious and throughout...

Everything was just as described: lovely linens, terrific breakfast with many options including a hot home-made breakfast dish each morning, the entire house is clean and comfortable, spacious rooms (the sitting room with the second TV was a great relaxation area), great interaction with the Inn Keepers Jan & Gary (yet never intrusive). Wonderful recommendations on shops "not to miss"...

My cousin and I stayed in the Oval Suite October 5-7, 2013. We found the accommodations very comfortable and spacious for our needs. Each of the two rooms had flat screen TV's with sleep timers on the remote controls. There was a nice closet shared by both rooms and a dresser in the bedroom. The bedroom had a king bed...

We interacted with Jan, and she took the time to greet us - offer dining recommendations - and was kind enough to provide a bottle of wine in celebration of our anniversary get away. The location was perfect for downtown walking and quiet enough to enjoy our stay. We recommend a visit.

We stayed here because it was the only place that accepted a one night reservation. Fortunately, we didn't have to deal with Jan. Gary is pleasant enough. I think the place, and the city in its entirety is accustomed to dealing with wealthy couples. I traveled with my sister. You can't beat the location. Gary had enough food laid out...

I should have read the reviews before booking here first. Gary seemed genuine & friendly when we met. Jan, on the other hand, is not the type of person that should be dealing with the public. Upon meeting her, I was struck by her "I", "me", & "we" statements. Then at breakfast, she served up snippy little comments with the...

The last three years, my daughter and I vacationed in Saugatuck and stayed at a cottage which is part of the Marywood Manor. We are greeted by Jan and Gary each year. Their hospitality is genuine and they always are helpful when asked. The rooms are well kept, the grounds are also clean and manicured. The location allows us to...

If you're not a morning person maybe you shouldn't be running a B & B. Jan and her husband own and run this establishment and he was pleasant enough. Jan on the other hand is a real piece of work. She must have attended the Mahmoud Ahmadinejad school of hotel and restaurant management. I think out of the ten of...

The inn was quaint, albeit a bit cramped. It's a charming old home, clean and well-maintained. Beds are extremely comfortable! The stairs to the second floor suite are an accident waiting to happen, however-extremely steep with very narrow steps. Dangerous to navigate. Marywood Manor's location can't be faulted. Guests are within a very short walk to shopping, restaurants, and attractions....
