Finally getting to use a gift certificate that my girlfriend had gotten me last Christmas, we booked a night at the inn a couple of weeks ago. It was, in a word, fantastic.

From the initial contact on the phone, to the check-in on arrival, the staff were the epitome of island hospitality.

We were in room 21 and had a lovely balcony overlooking the rushing surf. The room was well-appointed with everything we needed for our stay. We had been exploring the west coast of PEI, so we were content to relax on the balcony with a cold beverage and watch the waves as the day slipped away. The bed was super comfy and we slept very well.

The continental breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day and the gentleman on watch was most friendly and helpful as we prepared our tea, coffee and morning food. It was quiet in the dining area at that time of day, so we were well-entertained by chatting with him.

Because the room had been purchased as a Christmas gift, we were presented with a lovely gift bag at checkout, filled with local island wares, the value of which was impressive.

All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and are planning a return trip towards the end of summer, just before they wrap up for the season.

There can be no words to adequately describe this historic and magical place near the open waters of the Northumberland Strait. The friendly greeting and hospitality of the staff is second to none. The second floor room was clean and provided a wonderful balcony view of the Strait. The sunsets are spectacular. And the bed is so comfortable as you lie there and listen to the waves lapping the shore lines; it doesn't take long to fall asleep! The morning continental breakfast has a complete array of fresh fruit, yogurt, juices, locally home-made sweet tarts and cinammon rolls and of course, to kick start my day a great cup of coffee. An interesting aside to our visit and to our astonishment was the appearance of Spiderman. As he rode his spider thread from the top of the lighthouse he took his time to refresh the paint on this historic site! We will be back!

When my daughter and I visited the lighthouse in July of this year, I knew I had to go back and stay at the Inn. We were not disappointed! Lovely professionally decorated room and common room, ample continental breakfast featuring local baked goods, friendly and helpful staff all located in a unique location. Enjoyed every minute.

When we arrived, dinner was finishing with only one table still occupied. Deserai checked us in and told us she would try to get us some food while we moved our stuff in. She did get us both a plate of food and explained that Monday was the only night they served dinner because the local restaurant was closed on Monday. They did serve a good hot breakfast every morning with home made baked goods. Deserai was very friendly and helpful talking to us about things to do and places to go in the area. Our room was big and bright and very clean overlooking the bay with a deck not more than 100 feet from the water looking west. It was air conditioned but we kept it off and had the windows open listening to the waves lap against the shore. Great for the mind and soul, it was so peaceful. There were trails to walk, red sand beaches to explore and bay water to swim in. I went down to the kitchen in the evening to get a bucket of ice and as I was walking downstairs the most wonderful smell of baking carried me down to meet Juliette who was baking cookies. Needless to say I just had to sample one and then bring one back up to my wife. I almost forgot what I went down for. Juliette does the baking and cooking at the inn and boy does she do a good job. We sat and chatted for a while and she sent me off with cookies and slices of coffee cake to bring to our room. Nights we spent watching the sunset, and a few seals from our balcony, we also were lucky enough to to catch a rainbow. We would highly recommend a couple nights here. Everyone is so friendly, cheerful and helpful. When you make it there say hello to Juliette from Ed and Mary from NH. We would without a doubt love to go back for a little longer stay next time.

We had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful inn in September of 2021. The rooms overlook the water and the sounds of the water against the shore lull you to sleep. The rooms are simple, but perfectly updated and clean. The views are beautiful and the sunsets are spectacular. Each guest gets a complimentary tour and history of the lighthouse. We travel extensively and our stay here was one of the best.
What makes this place so amazing are the staff. You feel welcomed the minute you arrive and throughout your stay. Sitting around the fire pit with our host Jimmy S, and listening to the history and fables surrounding the lighthouse were unique and delightful. This was our first trip to P.E.I. But certainly not our last and are looking forward to returning and saying hi to our new friends at the West Point Light house inn, you will not be disappointed.

Location is absolutely perfect for sunset viewing. We found a small amount of sea glass on the beach but was just happy to soak in the views.
We stayed in the Tower room in the lighthouse and it was very unique. Just to say you slept in a lighthouse :). The room was quite small as expected but for one night very comfortable. Jimmy the GM provided a friendly face and even some ghost stories. It is haunted….another reason to visit. Overall worth the drive. Only downfall is it is very remote so come prepared. The continental breakfast was excellent and provided an excellent variety. (No decaf tho 😐).

This property gets a 5 star for the experience of staying there. It is not a traditional 5 star hotel. The rooms are simple, and there is very little to do close by. Its quiet. You can walk beaches for hours, watch storms roll in, listen to stories about the area and the ghosts!
Call ahead for dinner options, as there is only one pub close by.
Breakfast is simple but good ; Homemade bread, muffins, fruit, yogourt and cereal.
This is a non profit hotel run by a very dedicated team. They love this part of the Island and it shows. GO for the experience , it was one of the highlights of our trip.

If you want to be lulled to sleep by the waves and view the most spectacular sunsets ever then you need to stay here. Even tho we were there at the end of the season we had fantastic weather and an amazing stay. Our room was on the second floor...room 24 with a deck that looked onto the beach and ocean. We watched the lobster boats coming and going and unloading their catch at the pier a short walk away. The room was immaculate and the hosts very caring and helpful. A bonfire on the beach was enjoyed by all. We will definitely be returning to this magical place.

My sister and i spent a night this past week and we both loved it. The location is beautiful surrounded by trees and the beach went on forever. The inn itself was meticulously clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful. They had a continental breakfast ready for us in our fridge as well as coffee ready to perk in the morning. The best part were the beds omg !! The most comfortable bed i have ever slept in with pillows that were thick and fluffy. Falling asleep after an amazing sunset listening to the waves was incredible. We have already booked a return trip in the fall.

It took us a long time to get here as it's the west most point in PEI. The idea of staying at a lighthouse intrigued us. We traveled with a group of 8 and although we had a reservation they had no record of 2 couples. Apparently we booked on an old system and we didn't get converted. Luckily they had rooms for us but not in the lighthouse that we originally booked. The price had also gone up and they charged us the higher price. Later the fantastic staff reached out to management and we were given a refund bringing us back to the original price. The only thing that was not good was the brown water. They said it was still good to drink but we refused to do that. We had to buy water which was annoying. I would have liked them to include it since the water was not appealing. There was a restaurant in walking distance which was nice. The beach was hard to get to as you had to climb over rocks. We were able to go to the top of the lighthouse museum which was pretty amazing. It was a memorable experience and I'm glad we stayed here. But it's probably something that we won't do again as once is enough.
