We visited South Haven for our anniversary and stayed at the Carriage House at the Harbor. The place was beautiful and our room overlooked the harbor. We stayed in the White Chapel room and it had a fireplace (not that we needed it) and a little private patio with chairs. We didn't get to use the hot tub, but it... More

A lovely stay in the cute Dorsey room. The room was large enough for two 6 feet tall persons and we are happy we kept the room despite the hostess worries of the room being to small and offer of a free upgrade. The house and city has interesting history and a relaxed atmosphere. Make sure to not miss the... More

This is such a beautiful Inn, So peaceful, lovely and clean. The breakfast was wonderful. We had a room on the third floor with a terrace overlooking the harbor it was fantastic, we spent so much time sitting on the two rockers provided. And a quick walk the other way to the beach. Fantastic restaurants but lovely quiet nights. This... More

Beautiful B&B and wonderful location. However, we found it difficult to relax and enjoy due to the loud music from the harbor at night and the TV in the room next door. I was also disappointed not to be greeted upon arrival, although there was an agreed upon check-in time. We arrive on time and were met with a note... More

This wonderful B&B is near beaches galore. Right across the street you can be on the beach. This adults only establishment is wonderfully well kept, very nicely appointed, and quite peaceful. Be hungry in the morning for a gourmet's breakfast. We stayed in the first floor Victoria room with its own entrance, and a sitting room as well as a... More

We were greeted by a friendly lady, Marcia, who told us a bit about the House and nearby places to eat and visit. The room and breakfast were outstanding! Location to downtown and the harbor is superb since you can walk everywhere. A private beach on Lake Michigan is two blocks away .... and for another two block walk you're... More

This is a very comfortable Bed and Breakfast! Our room was so lovely and clean and we felt at home here. We will definitely be back. I loved that the beach was just down the street within easy walking distance.

We enjoyed our time at the Carriage House. The room was very clean and had a nice bathroom. Breakfast was good, parking was easy, the location was lovely, and the house itself is very well taken care of.

“Having a balcony was a nice amenity. Rooms in Victorians are small, so getting a "larger" room affords a little more space.”

“We love the White Chapel.....definitely the best in the Inn, but a little more expensive. The Caleche is wonderful as is the Barouche.”

  • There was a frig.. not working but they stored christmas decor in it
  • Windows were filthy...inside and out
  • small bathroom and narrow step up to the tub
