Nice place literally nothing to complain about. Room was huge, clean and well decorated. Staff was friendly efficient and accommodating. Unique and comfortable. I would recommend to anyone planning to visit south haven.
Checked in on a Friday night stay this past weekend. The staff was fun, informative and helpful when checking in. They offered us a discount card to a restaurant where we already had reservations - bonus. We had a water front room that had a large bathroom and nice furniture. Comfy bed. I know it’s off season but the place was quiet - got a good night’s sleep. Parking is across the street - no big deal. You are within walking distance of everything downtown at this place. I would stay at this place again.
I'll say that location is good, but no parking keeps it from great. I can't imagine how bad it would be in the middle of the summer. Tons of places to shop, eat, and hike, this location is amazing. After spending over 600 dollars for a two night stay, I would expect someone to greet me with a smile, make me feel welcome, you know a general feeling of hospitality. NOPE. The lady at the front desk couldn't be bothered, looked bored, and irritated that I interrupted her. The only other person I encountered from this hotel was slightly more interested, tepid. Hospitality rating, zero. Part of the hospitality problem is, there are zero staff at night. Someone literally had a party in the reception area until 2am on our first night, the front desk was flummoxed as to what that could be. Second night kids were running throughout the entire hotel playing some version of tag. I know that is more of a poor parenting problem, but no staff, no one answering the phone? Maybe, mom and dad had a night out and locked the kids hotel harbor inn, hoping they would never leave. Quiet and peaceful stay, zero. The room, nice. I really don't mind the creaking floors, the amenities were solid. Whirlpool tub is six jets, OK. View of the Harbor, great. Curtain rod held up by tape? Fail. Very clean, smelled great and very spacious. I like the room key, could be classy place. All in all, I think the amount of travelers in the area will always meet demand. So, room rates will continue to be a premium while service is outclassed by motel 6. My recommendation, find a better stay, make the town a day trip. …
When I checked in I was greeted by a very nice man I wish I would’ve gotten his name. All the safety Covid precautions were met he was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable and big and had everything that you wanted for a great visit. Just park the car, walk to the beach, walk to the stores and the restaurants and have a great weekend getaway in Southhaven
We had a suite (Room 2) and it was clean and fresh smelling. Nicely decorated, but due to COVID?, there were no eating utensils. Employees seemed surprised that our room had a cook top. Jake promptly brought us some, as well as a toaster. He was very friendly and helpful during our check-in, too. I would highly recommend staying here with one caveat. If you stay here during peak times (summer), be aware that there is a bar located between two of the buildings with outside seating. If you are a light sleeper, I imagine there could be normal "bar noise" until closing.
