We had a very nice lake front spot, with one of the best views in the park. The grounds are clean and well kept. Internet was decent, but there is NO cable for renters,,,,a real shame. The bathrooms/showers in the rear of the park are newer, and kept clean, but wheelchair accessibility usage in the showers in limited due to the lack of a shower hose, the shower head is attached to the wall, and unusable by a wheelchair user. The lake is kept filled with water from a nearby stream, and while there is a nice beach area, swimming is ill advised due to the presence of LARGE snapping turtles. If in the area, I would stay again.
Beautiful rv resort! Amazing pool/club house/laundry facilities. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. Good place to relax and unwind. Not close to Lake Michigan but they have a beautiful pool/hot tub with great operating hours (10am-11pm) they do have very strict rules on your rv size and age. Our is a 2017 but only 23 feet and we didn’t qualify for there minimum 28 foot size requirements. But they still let us stay here and didn’t turn us away. We will definitely be back if we ever upgrade to a bigger rv. I would highly recommend this place if you pay close attention to the rv size/age rules
I could go on forever as to how wonderful this place is. Friendly, welcoming, clean, great amenities. We were here for 36 hours....and strangely enough...my 3 young ones might have been the ONLY ones in the whole place. There are a lot of retirees/old crowd.....but SO WHAT? All were friendly and helpful...almost happy to have some "noise" in the place. Great pool area....great fire pits...fish ponds that the kids LOVED looking at. One night they even had a hamburger cook-out with great food. Here's all you need to know: As we sat at our fire pit on the last night, we were concocting ways to get back to Sunny Brook ASAP!
This is definitely a great RV resort. We stayed in a motorhome on the small lake. All sites are big, level and concrete. The resort is very clean and nicely landscaped. The amenities are very nice and very clean. It’s also in a very good location, close to everything. They also accommodate 5th wheels and campers, which I think is a plus for a place like this. A lot of places like this are Class A only, which we do own, but I’ve always felt that was a little discriminatory, so it was a pleasure to see all types of well kept campers enjoying this lovely facility. I didn’t give it 5 stars for 2 reasons. First, there was no fenced in dog park, which is very important to us. They did say you could run your dog off leash on the opposite side of the lake, which we would not do. If your dog would chase a squirrel etc there is direct access, beyond a couple pine trees, to a very busy road. Also, they do have plans to put more sites on the other side of the lake so this area will be gone in the future. Secondly, there is no cable access to renters. We have never stayed in a place of this caliber and cable was not included. Would be willing to pay a higher rate to have it included in our stay and with cable I would have rented for a longer period of time. If those 2 things are added, I would definitely give this beautiful RV Resort 5 stars. …
We visited here 3 times back in 2018 and loved it so much, decided to become seasonal in 2019. It is a short distance from Chicago (a little over 2 hours), is very clean, very quiet, everyone is friendly and waves all day long, very dog friendly, I could go on. Yes, it is true, internet and cable/satellite is spotty, but when you are here, outside is where you want to be, either in the pool, the hot-tub, sitting outside, or going for a walk, so not that important to us.
