This hotel is horrible. it is not what you'd expect from a Hilton property. Overall the property is just tired and worn down. Starting with jacked up parking lot (pot holes) the stained carpets (entry and on level 3 floors) to the non-working elevators (2/3...More
I have been coming to this hotel for 3 weeks straight, booking a minimum of 2 rooms per stay. Aubrey does a great job of recognizing me upon arrival and thanks me for being a Diamond member.

The suite was in need of repair. The sink had a 1 inch gap between the granite and sink bowl. The carpet was frayed and you could not open the microwave door all the way because it was bolted to close to the side of...More
We were there for a conference on July 21-22, 2017. The hotel has 3 elevators and 2 was not working. The ambient temperature of the conference room was very warm; it felt as if the HVAC wasn't working properly. The staff provided ice water to...More
One working elevator. Lobby is too warm at check-in. The staff did not know how to address the problems. Breakfast was the best thing going for the group. The manager's reception needs some better bartenders!

I've stayed in two rooms and I never saw any bugs. The rooms have been renovated, although they didn't do a very good job of it and the bathtubs and fixtures look old. I'm pretty picky and I did find it comfortable and clean - I would absolutely stay there again! It's my preference versus the Hilton Garden Inn because breakfast is included at the Embassy Suites and it's always excellent.
I would avoid this property. The location it is in is questionable and does not feel safe at all. As for the property "Newly Renovated" means new carpet. The cleaning of the rooms is poor and the security (Locks) might... More
I would avoid this property. The location it is in is questionable and does not feel safe at all. As for the property "Newly Renovated" means new carpet. The cleaning of the rooms is poor and the security (Locks) might not even work. I would not waste HH points on this property. I generally stay in the Troy MI area as there are 2 brand new hotels (Hampton and Garden Inn) on Wilshire in an affluent area very very nice. Both Hotels are wonderful. It is about 30 minutes away from Southfield but you would be happy there.
